want a rinse not a purge

Bob the software (fuzzy logic) in the dishwasher control initiates a soil sensor calibration cycle after a predetermined number of completed wash cycles. That is when it will add the additional rinses even on lightly soiled loads. You are very observant.

    New line of Kenmore dishwashers...

Alex about an hour and half was alotted to the main wash. The T-Z option added 20 minutes or so. That accounts for a long wash. Then the steam final rinse takes another 35-45 minutes. Plus you've got dry time. We always use Smart wash with T-Z & heated dry. The machine gets everything...

    Sears Detergent..not so good?

Funny I was just talking about Ultra Plus powder detergent with another member yesterday. Only praising its effectiveness and next to no suds formation; that works great in a Calypso. Like others have remarked, I've not used it long enough to witness any build-up.

    Tide Basic

I wonder if the renewed emphasis on Era & Era HE @ lower cost is a way to keep Tide users in the family. The Era seems quite effective at a low price. 150 ounce bottle for $9.00 at Walmart.

    Consumer Reports Detergents test

Interesting! Just finished up a bottle of Tide HE w/Colorclean and it was a very low sudser and clean rinser in the Calypso. Just cracked open the new pump bottle of Method HE and it makes no suds....even with an intentional overdose. The water here is about 6-7 grains hard....so not too bad.

Why do I use an old stove....Pictures show why!!!

Just took this wonderfully scented cake out of the oven. It baked beautifully in about 65 minutes. Can't wait to taste the baked cake. The batter was very flavorful. I used store brand milk, extract and the baking version of I Can't Believe It's Not Butter and butter flavor Crisco.
