    Try 20 Mule Team borax. Usually found on the bottom shelf in the detergent aisle. It's great for other cleaning uses as well.

    That's not a Kitchenaid platform dishwasher. It's a Maytag standard tub product of the times. could be of the Jetclean series.

    Several part #'s....3951744 is the Whirlpool version. Better still is the Kenmore version....auger corkscrew section is angled/pitched lower for more rollover. I do have a used Whirlpool version. kenmore part # is 285727.
