MIELE programming Mode. Effects of settings.

rinsingnis acctually very poor Yeah, in my experience too! I really can't understand all this hype about Miele performance. They're built better than most of the stuff you can buy today for domestic use but performance wise they're just average. Nothing special and rinsing is very poor, on par...

    Voltage Reduction

extreme conditions of high temperatures and reduced voltage I very well understand high temperatures but why on earth reduced voltage?! Why would I want to do something like that? Especially in a test? To me it would make more sense to run the machines with a dirty condenser or evaporator and...

    Isn't It Sad

I do not believe appliance cost has really increased. Sure t Totally second this! My Candy WD16 washer-dryer from 1985 cost 639.000 Italian Lire, in Euro, adjusted to inflation it would be the whopping amount of 850€. Now you can buy a Candy washer dryer for less than half that amount. The...

6 Unconventional Uses for your Dishwasher

home proofing cabinet Hopefully most current hi-end ovens now have a proofing programme! Things like this http://www.smeg.it/prodotto/sc115a-1/ will make your cooking much much easier than putting dough in the dishwasher!

    Advice on washer/dryer/laundry room

Can't you get something like AquaStop for the hoses? Very well said! Now here most of the MOL and TOL machines have it! Even some of the BOL are starting to adopt waterstop systems!

For sale in VT: Maytag 35 lb commercial washer

Disengage the spin windings in the motor or disable it on the timer ;) Otherwise the machine will jump so much it will shake itself to destruction. Bolt-down machines have no suspension system at all or at best it is very limited! Otherwise they wouldn't need to be anchored!

Best cleaning, most reliable dishwasher available?

There's no such thing as you asked If there were an absolute "best" they would only sell that. It varies according to your preferences, lifestyle and expectations. I'd say that anything European made will clean marvels but long cycle times, no food grinder and different racks than N.A machines...

For sale in VT: Maytag 35 lb commercial washer

All I can say is that it has been indeed used, otherwise I can't explain the crud UNDER the lip of the drum... Also "made in Czech Republic" sounds not Maytag-ish at all! Could be coming from one of the obscure "satellite" brands? Or maybe they bought it used already?

    Single Rinses on Dishwashers

I honestly don't think that a single rinse is harmful to our health but sure results might suffer a little! Lucky my dishwasher does two rinses even on quick and ECO cycles and 3 on pots and pans and intensive so results are always impressive! Anyway I should add that most of the machines...

    Would you wash at 20?

The Spanish hygiene level seems to be systematically higher To me it has to do with the fact that "cold" water in Spain can be like in the south of Italy, when "cold" water in summer is at 35°C coming from the faucet. Was the temperature of the incoming water sampled in the test?

who thinks on modern washers of today the temp option hot wash with warm rinse shloud be offerd

Forgot to add... Warm rinses had a sense before the 50s when automatic started selling in more than marginal numbers and synthetic detergents started to become widespread! Real soap dissolved better in warm water but surfactants will come away just as easily in cold! And also textile shock is...

who thinks on modern washers of today the temp option hot wash with warm rinse shloud be offerd

Totally second what Matt/Hoover1100 said! Plus I wouldn't wash in an LG machine regardless as they're simply "laudry offenders" with poor performances and quality :S

    Would you wash at 20?

It'd be interesting to see the results for 60c. I'd love to! :)

    Would you wash at 20?

I'm not sure that's the best trade off. Is it just Sure for me a heated wash with little detergent is much better than a cold wash with loads of additives which will never rinse away! Also price-wise, a wash at 60°C with just detergent is much more economical than loading the washing machine...

New Generation Servis Hydrodrive, June 2013....

I think I owe a response to Chris/Aquacycle as he's the only one that commented on Vestel! The others took up Beko as an example which has nothing to do with this machine. Beko, despite being a lower market brand is more "quality" oriented (for whatever that means in the sub 300€ market) and has...

    Washer/Dryer Placement

The washer in the picture is a LG machine, just as crappy as Haier if you ask me ;) They really are disposable sadly! :S It seems installed on air conditioner brackets so even with an unbalaced spin it should be all right! Sure it will make the wall vibrate quite a lot hahahah poor neighbors...

New Generation Servis Hydrodrive, June 2013....

So far my Candy never blew apart ;) I always thought that Brit people always had an inferiority syndrome since the takeover of Hotpoint and Hoover but since we're in an open market everybody is free to buy whatever he wants.

New Generation Servis Hydrodrive, June 2013....

Don't you notice that those machines are simply Vestel crap in disguise?! Give me any machine of any European manufacturer, thanks! (Turkey isn't and never will be Europe, regardless of what economists want!)
