i did the check like you said but i don't have wire hangers so i cut the end off of a Q-tip and used that the the oil had a greenish color to it. I guess water is leaking down the agitator shaft. is it possible to replace the seal?

well what i saw bubbling up was of a grayish color.

How does it wash clothes with out an agitator in the middle? Does the tub turn back and forth during wash to get clothes to turn over?

I've got a question about these portable machines. Do they just hook up infront of the kitchen sink like a portable dishwasher does?

It's in season 7 episode number 18 "The House That Uncle Arthur Built" a center dial maytag dryer. they have taped over the name so you can't read it but you can tell it's a cental dial maytag.

I also have the entire series of Bewitched on DVD and the last two season when the kitchen was remodeled I clearly remember Samatha standing infront of a center dial maytag dryer while trying to conger her mother. I will also study my dvd's and today too.
