Which of the washers you had featured the grease/oil-filled transmission?

Have you tried heavy duty which did a deep rinse typically used for fabric softener? Mine is a Kenmore Elite front load by LG.

I didn't know that the LG had a transmission. I thought GE did.

GE and Hotpoint are the same brand. It's just that Hotpoint is GE's budget brand. Profile in the laundry room is more upscale.

I have a feeling the motor and gearbox are tiny compared to what they used before. And yes, they do sound like an animal dying.

Are you sure? When my mom's point voyager whirlpool gold was at her house, she had to use pots and pans and soak and scour due to the cleaning performance. I have an LG which cleans like a power clean.

Mine quit cleaning the glasses in 2008. I thought the point voyager came out in 2000-2001.

That's probably a point voyager. I'm curious about the spray power. I had a 2007 Whirlpool Gold which left glasses cruddy in the corners and upper rack later in 2008.

Gee, you'd think the normal cycle is a heavier cycle than the light cycle.

I thought they went to clean water wash or dual power.

It would've been nice to see it on whirlpool's front control line with the clean water wash system.

I'm curious how my LG is programmed. One thing I did notice is when the water heats, it sounds like steam is being created.

I hope the clean water wash system is up and down the Whirlpool lineup.
