I’ve never heard an LG roar after 4 years. I’ve seen far more whirlpools do that. Same goes for GE. I’ve heard of more speed queens that roared after 4 years than LGs. I’ve even heard of more speed queens roaring within 4 years than LGs. Even my own VMW (2014) has developed a bearing roar.

That doesn’t sound like a bad bearing. A bad bearing causes a roaring noise. See it much more on VMWs and older Cabrios.

Yes, the coating and thickness were the same. They even had the same sidings as the earlier pre-2015 VMWs. They had the same indentations. My VMW has the same sides as the newest drive drive and the same type of cabinet.

They had the best features. All direct drives were good machines. Direct drives definitely declined as time went on but none of them were bad, although I personally wouldn’t buy a high efficiency model used.

This is a VMW model, not a VMAX model. MVW6230 is a junk machine.
