The last part number for your belt was WP20052698 but it is no longer available. The 96388 is the same belt and although it is also no longer available there are a lot of new old stock options to choose from on the internet. Your original belt is dated 9/84.

Thanks Brendan and James! Good eye on the motor. It was replaced November 11th 1972. I know this from a few notes written in the manuals.

Thanks Dan! Reply 15: I’ll have to admit I never use the w-n-w cycle so I haven’t kept up with the sequences over the years. Phil it’s always good to hear from you. At some point they will be rebuilt to be bulletproof for many years but they probably won’t be daily drivers.

Cool finds! I didn’t know there was that many vintage GE dryers still out there. Lol! That 1965 kenmore 800 dryer would’ve been the match to the washer that was in another post that apparently went to the crusher this week.

The dryer is gas. The door on top of the dryer is the gas valve/burner assembly. My grandparents had that washer with the matching gas dryer. I say go get them and if something doesn’t work out I’d take them off your hands.

Todd I’d like to have the one in the pod also in copper tone. You’re right the dryer runs great. It handles very large loads of laundry in record time with the positive airflow. I’d like to find a gas model as well.
