A couple more shots Meant to add to the above post that we have tried the obvious of changing the fuse in the plug, but that didn't help, and is about as far as my electrical skills go!

but even more problematic... is the fact that it doesn't actually work! It won't turn on, no display, no noises, absolutely nothing. I am hoping that this is something simple like a faulty connection or a loose wire, really don't have the equipment or knowledge to know where to start with this...

Lovely! I grew up with the more basic model, with programme and temp dial, 3 buttons and an 800rpm spin. That one was bought in the summer of '88, so this will be late 80s. Hope you enjoy it! Matt
