Bob Load Thread anyone?

OK, let me try again..... After my honey made Chicken Adobo for dinner tonight, there was enough stiff dirtied since running the Bosch yesterday morning, to justify running it again this evening. Let's see of I can manage to get BobLoad certified this time (fingers crossed)! ...

Shelter At Home Cooking: Show Us Yours!

Ralph, I also don’t like eating the ginger in this soup, I pick it out too. But I do love the very “ginger-y” broth!

Shelter At Home Cooking: Show Us Yours!

Chili Verde A couple days ago I made a big pot of chili verde! I bought a 6+ lb pkg of pork at Costco and only used 3 lbs of it in the chili verde, but should have used more. After simmering for 3 hours the pork cubes are super tender and it’s very tasty! It’s made from pork, tomatillos...

Power requirements for vintage washers and dryers?

Should an older (50's/60's/70's) washing machine have a 15 or 20 amp circuit? What about a vintage 240V dryer? The plan is to run new circuits for a 1955 Frigidaire Unimatic washer & Filtrator dryer, a 1969 Lady Kenmore Combo (240V) and a number...

Shopping for a dishwasher Bosch 300 vs GE vs Maytag

Bosch cycle times By the way, the cycle times on my 800 series Bosch, at least for the auto, normal and heavy cycles, are just over two hours. It’s 2.5 hours with the “sanitize“ option selected. This is when the rinse aid reservoir is full. When it runs out the cycle time is increased by...

    Vitamix 5200

Awesome find AND price! WOW CONGRATS! I’m a bit jealous too. I have a 5200 also, but black, not red and I bought it new, so paid “slightly” more than you did (HA). It’s a wonderful blender and I use mine a fair amount. My favorite thing to make is strawberry “ice cream” as they call it...

Shopping for a dishwasher Bosch 300 vs GE vs Maytag

I bought a Bosch 800 series DW on Dec 30, 2018, so a year and three months ago and I have been very happy with it! I clean the filter about every week, sometimes every two weeks and majority of the time it’s not too bad. It replaced a KitchenAid dishwasher that had a food grinder/chopper...

    Bob Load Thread anyone?

Had I seen this thread before I started my dishwasher last night, I would have taken “before” photos. So here are the “after” photos of my mostly “Bob Load”. Kevin

A new AMKrayo Samsung Gas Range!

Convection! I too like the 5 burner configuration, but I really like there is a convection fan in the oven! It’s wonderful for baking / roasting many things, but not all things (not recommended for pies or cakes), for example it works beautifully for baking multiple trays / racks of cookies...

I added a nearly new Electrolux 24" washer to the mix!

Thank you to all! 😁 Brendon: Wow what a great set up you have and a beautiful laundry room! I have been fairly impressed with my little Electrolux version! However one thing I noticed about it and don’t care for, is it does not spin between the rinses. However I’ve only run the Normal cycle...

    Miele Top Electronic W716

Neat! Very nice looking machine! That one would be fun to have. I have scooped up a few Miele’s lately. My oldest (a W1926) is 10 years newer than this one. I would guess it was made for the North American market as it’s in Canada, but who knows until you ask. They are all built in...

What's the story on these Maytags?

Maytag Atlantis I’m sure someone will correct me, but I believe this came out after Maytag aquired Amana and is what some here refer to a an “AmanaTag”. I’m not sure if it’s strictly an Amana design or (there was some Norge influence - I could be completely off). I bought one of those once...

    Question for the Calypso experts

Thanks for the info Bill, very much appreciated! That is the same model! I must say I like the KM control panel MUCH better than the 2004 WP version I have! This almond KM Calypso will be going into Thomas's "Six Flags" as he calls it, once he's able to make room for it. My Calypso, except...
