    The dashboard lights...

Reply 11 Thanks Eddie. Welcome to the Old Coots Club. LOL Just thought of this... With Smartphones driving being a hazard, distraction, etc... I would think those touch screens should fall into the same category. I mean when I drive that Caddy Crossover/under... you have to look at the...

Buying New Dishwasher- need honest opinions

In the video why do they have a different Wash Arm as opposed to the modified HydroSweep ? They have a three arm thing with whirly things on the ends that squirt the water. In the still pic there is the "X" arm. I think it's time for a new Manufacturer of appliances to break away of the same...

    The dashboard lights...

I hope my 2004 Tacoma lasts forever. Best features... 5 Speed Manuel Transmission Manual Controls for A/C-Heat, Headlights etc. And most important to me... It starts with a real metal KEY. I drive a friend's Caddy Crossover every once in a while and I hate all the nonsense.

    Best Plain NEW Electric Dryer

Glad to see they still make a dryer that just dries clothes. That would be my choice if the Kenmo dies. Matter of fact it's a dead ringer replacement for what I bought 8 years ago.

So a TOASTER has been on my mind

I bought a Cuisinart at BJ's for $39 bucks. It works just fine and is Stainless too. But I do have a Self Lowering Sunbeam which makes perfect toast. Just trying to preserve it.

    Life without a P7

I prefer Manuel Clean Ovens. Easy Off, wear gloves, and a green Scotch Brite Pad. The best way to keep your oven clean and not go through the hell most people hate about cleaning a oven is... Don't let it get very soiled. Wipe up and spot clean spalls and when you see it starting to get...

Buying New Dishwasher- need honest opinions

I was shopping with a friend a few days ago at a high end appliance store here on the Cape... When you really look at the prices side by side... If you are going to spend $800-1,000 for a machine, look at Miele. Yes, their service is expensive but the machines are great. You barely can hear them...

Buying New Dishwasher- need honest opinions

Interesting as I have been shopping around lately. I would take John L'a advice (combo52) as he has been touting Maytag is the best dishwasher right now. Being he has always been "Whirlpool Forever" and yes, Whirlpool is Maytag now, I like the quick video of the Maytag's wash action. Seems to...

Interesting Take On Powdered Detergent Market

I have found that I have to buy detergent through Amazon. I am a true believer in powders. For Laundry, I find that Persil Universal Powder has been a winner for me for about 12 years now. A few times I have used Persil MegaPearls and were OK, but like the powder better. Cascade Dishwashing...

    New Kitchenaid countertop oven

Marked down from $279 to $189. That always makes me suspicious that it is not selling. Or is it overpriced junk. I'll have to look at one in person. I like the two fans in it. I have a Hamilton Beach with a Swing up door I bought last year that I use the hell out of. I think I paid like...

LG SmartThinQ vs GE Front Load washer

Lorainefurniture( a member on this site ) has probably now dozens of LG Test Videos on YouTube of FrontLoad and Top Load. He is testing a top load right now. This man sells these machines and puts them through some pretty tough tests. I would very seriously consider his advice on a LG.

    NOS KDS-19

That is a great cleaning machine. Drying is a little weak, but I had one Brand New in 1981 and loved it. Heats water on the first Wash and last Rinse.

    nice General Electric impeller MobileMaid

Power Shower came later. Not sure but I would say around 1960 as we had a Princess pull out tub in 1961 that was a Power Shower. It was fed through the pump of the impeller unit. These machines had a reversable pump. They were fed through a type of compression fitting that when the lid was...

    Look at this kitchen!

That is a great looking Kitchen. We had the same fridge in a summer home. All Porcelain. And COLD. Loved the sound of the latches opening and closing. When you could buy quality and quality was built. And people actually cared about what they built and sold.
