Do you use heated dry on your dishwasher?

well if there is such an energy crisis using the heating element to dry in your dishwasher and you notice a decrease in your electric bill just from that disuse of that one feature, not to mention the level of safety on a par with self-cleaning ovens, then use the non-heated dry if you have it...

Do you use heated dry on your dishwasher?

Well maybe the question is: “Does anybody use the non-heat dry or air-dry?”… My Samsung heats and only heats, even propping open its door during what’s probably the last ten minutes and some items are even still damp and wet… I believe the Maytag I had before didn’t even offer a No-Heat...

Frigidaire Dishwasher OrbitClean Spray Arm Issue

The Orbital Spray looks pretty convincingly WCi-ish enough that I wonder why Frigidaire/GM didn't come up with it sooner...   The idea that it doesn't work as well or last as long as promised, seems to be that type of trademark, too...       -- Dave

    Gillette MACH3 Blades

Decided to try this brand, Cremo… Ordinarily going for $27.99 each, for both the handle and initial blade and a pack of four replacement blades, got both paired at $12.59 each… So then came the first cut, which like my other years and tons of shaving apparatus, so far, so good… — Dave

    Switching back to using powder

Well it’s like my powder detergent never left, the only kind I ever use and lasts through enough loads that it’s the only detergent I’ll ever need… I’ll try to use up all those liquids… — Dave

Do you use a Rinse Aid?

I have, as my needs to were needed...   I'm, however, not good at aiming the blue stuff in the dispenser without it making a mess, and somehow the shelf life of it under my sink renders it purposeless and gooey...   Routine cleaning of my filter, and the occasional use of dishwasher cleaner...

If Speed Queen made a Dishwasher

A hopeful marketing gain: A Complete SPEED QUEEN KITCHEN!!!! A niche market can be an omnibus term...   There are those legions of loyal familiar brand buyers quickly dying off as their Sears and Wards are long becoming retailers of the past...   The rest are converts, adapting to the new...

Finally found a telephone dial whirlpool dishwasher

This brings to mind, when I worked for an orthodontist, Dial-A-Weld...   Supposedly used for welding brackets for braces, though never saw it actually used, only sitting off-side in the office...   I may have known many of my contemporaries wearing braces, perhaps implemented by this now...

To Rinse or Not Rinse - Dishwasher Story

Yes, rinsed a plate that only had Bell Pepper Seeds--Naughty no, don't rinse!   --my daughter sure got a lot of reprimanding from me because of her doubting the dishwasher would wash away pepper seeds, so I told her how we put even harder stuff through there and it all comes out super clean...

what brand would you love to see make a comeback in us canada and other countrys

Oh…, AmAnA…! Let’s not forget AmAnA! I’m envisioning their foray into electric ranges and dishwashers maybe gas ranges, too, in addition to making great refrigerators and freezers… And their washers and dryers weren’t bad either, although I’m not a fan of the Speed (👑)&#92ueen clones… — Dave

Well, how about Gibson, Kelivinator, Roper, Modern Maid, Caloric and Norge? You used to have as many makes of appliances as you did (with Packard, Hudson and Studebaker and all those others) cars! — Dave

Would an old Maytag A-series washer really do this?

I wonder why the fantasy TV show Ghosts had to use a Maytag washer from this late-'60's/late-'70's era (with a matching dryer) as a prop for this bit in this episode... The console light is burnt out, a final scene at the end of the episode shows that washer discarded with one of the push...

what brand would you love to see make a comeback in us canada and other countrys

GM-built Frigidaire, especially since it eliminated a lot of its automotive divisions… Seems ideal for Electrolux to let go of it and let it come back independently in its original form… — Dave

If Speed Queen made a Dishwasher

Welll, I'll admit I turned down my mother-in-law's offer to take her Speed Queen-built Amana washer and dryer and don't see too many SQ's or haven't seen to many in my area or in my time... I don't even pantamime them... Happy with my Samsung dishwasher as well as my Samsung range, otherwise...

    PictSweet Vegetables for Roasting

Well I didn’t make all of them, I just thought I needed a small accompaniment… Guess I wanted it simple and in a hurry, so I’ll make the rest of them or the other kinds in the oven with the olive oil… Hope I’ll get them to turn out right that way… — Dave
