    Maytag Centennial

While I was recently pet sitting for a friend, I noticed they have one of the new belt drives. Its a Maytag Centennial that I'm guessing is only a couple years old. It still has the older style control panel, but its a later model as it is one that will fill with the lid open and doesn't do any...

    Uninformed Washer Users

At the laundromat I've seen a lady add detergent and softener together in the wash, and another fill a front load dexter with colored clothes then added regular bleach. Is what gets me is the overdrying in the dryers. A commercial dryer takes roughly 30 minutes to dry a load and people load one...

    My first major appliance repair!

are we gonna see pics of this machine? Congrats on the repair. My first repair was replacing the pump on one of these machines, wasn't too bad of a repair.

    Electronic Amana

DOes anyone have any idea who manufactured these or how old they might be? They don't look like Raytheon/Speed Queen ones to me. http://kokomo.craigslist.org/app/4866463401.html

    Estate Elite Washer Problem

Has he tried letting it sit for awhile and going back later to run it to see it the motor kicked out on thermal overload? It would take a bit for it to cool down and reset itself

kenmore series 500 washer fill problem

Those are fairly newer machines ( the last of the DD) so I think it would definitely be worth fixing

2015 Speed Queens with Electronic Controls

Where did you guys get those computer models showing what is to come? That would be awesome though if they still have the option of a regular cycle with a full rinse and just use the eco cycle to get past the regulations.

    Modern Frontloaders

For those of you who own a modern frontloading machine, I was wondering what the cycle sequence is. On the normal cycle does it do a wash and one rinse, or a wash and 2 rinses?

new line of kenmor topload washer (2014)

And that is EXACTLY what I knew was going to happen to get around the new water restrictions. Notice how it is classified as a 4.2 capacity now instead of 3.6.

    Kenmore/Whirlpool DD Spin-Spray

My early 1983 Kenmore DD has 3 sprays before the rinse, and 3 in the final spin.

    Owners of New Whirlpools

For those few people on here that own one of the new Belt drive Whirlpools, could you possibly measure the amount of water that it uses for a cycle? I know manufacturers don't usually have this information anywhere and I was just curious how much it uses per cycle versus the DD's.

    Now Samsung

I was surprised to look on youtube tonight and find this! Haven't heard anybody on here talk about the possibility of an exploding Samsung toploader.

    Norge Heavy Duty 20

As soon as you said it was green, my initial thought was that it was fabric softener residue coming through the holes in the spin. Hopefully the hot wash you ran it through will clear it all out.

My first vintage washer & dryer

That is a very reliable and sturdy washer. The only thing that may fail is the coupler which connects the motor to the transmission. It also looks as though the cabinet has been replaced and it should have a side opening lid as opposed to one that lifts to the back.

    SQ Horizon

Has anybody on here used the SQ horizon coin-op front loaders? A aundromat here got one of the first ones back in 2004 and another just installed some last week. I've used both of these models and I'm not really impressed. They use practically no water, and I just don't feel they get clothes...

WISK 50oz. Bottle for 99 cents!!!

I actually quite like Wisk but I think Dollar General is the only store around here that even carries it.

    Resource Saver

I remember these machines and think I might have picked up a brochure once on them. I also remember it seeming funny to only clean the lint box every 100 loads

    Resource Saver

It used a recirculation spray of water in the rinse instead of a deep water rinse.

    New Toploader

I've been looking at the toploaders of today and would really like to get a SQ, but I'm afraid of the grease issue in the tub that they have been having. I don't care for the new Whirlpools or the GE hydrowave. I like the SQ because it is still like an old fashioned toploader.

    Resource Saver

Here is a nice Whirlpool resource saver I came across http://www.ebay.com/itm/Whirlpool-Washer-/130947167656?pt=Washing_Machines&hash=item1e7d0f35a8
