    Return of the Kenmore Oasis!

This is in reference to the new machines available. With the ever increasing restrictions of water use, it's nice that we can once again buy an Oasis platform machine that has an increased water level as an option. The machine shown is one an Oasis machine from 2009, while it would be nice to...

    Return of the Kenmore Oasis!

As I stated previously, it IS a Kenmore exclusive for the OASIS platform machines. The machine you linked to and in the picture are both VMW machines. I never mentioned Cabrio or Bravos as those labels are seen across both Oasis and VMW platforms.

    Return of the Kenmore Oasis!

On the Oasis machines, the Deep Wash is exclusively a Kenmore trait. On the VMW machines, it's available for all three brands. I checked several times because I do want the Deep Wash option but Whirlpool employees don't get any sort of discount on Kenmore appliances. I'd have to pay full price...

    Return of the Kenmore Oasis!

The agitator does have four fins as usual, it's just the camera angle. Sears never entirely left Whirlpool, at least in terms of laundry, Whirlpool never stopped making the BOL to MOL top load washers and their matching dryers. They did stop making the Oasis direct drive machines and all front...

    Return of the Kenmore Oasis!

Indeed! That'd be fun to put in a LEAP (That's what the DD platform is called) for sure! Also, the impeller you pictured is from the new VMW Kenmore machines. It's nice that all the Kenmore machines will have some blue on the agitators/impellers!

    Return of the Kenmore Oasis!

Not the only one, there are currently several models made by Whirlpool, mostly lower end stuff. This is the only machine I personally would consider "higher end" that's made by Whirlpool. The others are all on the VMW platform whether they are HE, Hybrid, or Classic versions.   BTW... HE -...

The impeller I love the color!

    Return of the Kenmore Oasis!

I've been waiting to post about this for a while now and it seems to finally be available! Whirlpool has begun making the Kenmore Oasis again with a few modifications!   First and my favorite (because I got to try this out) is Deep Wash. This cycle is exactly how it sounds. It doesn't fill up...

My New Beko WMB81641LC Washer :-)

That rinse is totally awesome!!! How effective is it? did you notice any sort of decrease in rinse performance? All FL washers should rinse like that!

Assuming the AWN 542 goes away at end of 2014

I doubt that Speed Queen will stop making their topload agitator washer. Rather, as they've begun producing for Australia and the commercial market, they'll be making a machine capable of being HE or... not if you wish. Here is the Australian control panel, it does have the cycle selector vs the...

NEW Frigidaire AGITATOR top load washer??

The controls up close... No water level switch    I wonder what the differences between Normal, Normal/Heavy, and Heavy Duty are?

NEW Frigidaire AGITATOR top load washer??

I went to my local family owned appliance store and saw THIS! I was quite confused when I saw it. It says "Made in Thailand" but I'm wondering if it has Australian roots? Th top, lid, and control panel are all plastic.

What temp are you all tempering to?

I like mine a bit on the warm side... I keep my tempering valve at 85F. The water still feels cool to the touch but it's warm enough to do a good job rinsing! My boyfriend can tell when I've washed the towels in my machines in the basement (with the tempering valve setup) or in his machine...

SPEED QUEEN / ALLIANCE SURVEY OF AW MEMBERS

I've got three! I bought an AFN50R, a GWNSX2 (Continental Girbau labelled coin-op made by Alliance), and an AWN432 for my BF's mother. I've yet to purchase an Alliance made dryer, we'll see if I do, I really don't like the lint filter on those, the clothes fall right into it when as soon as you...

GO WHIRLPOOL CALYPSOS!!! I totally agree, I've yet to see a topload washer perform better than a Calypso! I miss mine dearly and would KILL to get my hands on another one!!!

Ahh, The Joys Of *Vented* Dryers

I had the same issue when I was at school this past year. On campus apartments that were 2 years old. I lived right across from the laundry room but the machine in there were NASTY (typical of college washers/dryers) and I refused to use them. I snuck a washer and dryer into my apartment. I...

    Ge washer agitator

I'm afraid I don't have a video. That was before my first cellphone with video recording capabilities! The machine now resides with a friend who was in dire need of a washer just after getting married.

    Ge washer agitator

I bought one of these agitators when I got one of the first agitator Hydrowave machines. It came with a dual action agitator which barely worked on the first load. Once I got that BOL agitator in the machine though, it was a lot of fun! It had excellent turnover and increased the capacity a bit...

    adding tempering valves externally

I have one in my laundry room tempering the cold water to 85F and I can't live without it now! All of my machines rinse SO MUCH BETTER now!!! Not to mention warm is WARM! I love it!
