    Amana ALW880WH Top Load Washer

I didn't have my camera handy but I picked up one of these locally last Saturday for $20. It is in excellent condition but needs to be cleaned and needs a new tub seal. The cool thing about this washer is that it is essentially a Speed Queen. It has the SQ 3.3 cubic ft. SS tub and the white...

Kenmore/WP vs Others For Rinsing Ability

"Anyway, I would think that the fact that Kenmore/Whirlpool machines do have a spray rinse is a big thing in their favor. I don't see a spin drain making nearly the difference that spraying fresh water through would. Any machine lacking that feature I would consider at lease somewhat inferior in...

My First Collectible Washer - Lady Kenmore

OH SHIT! I broke this connector off accidentally while removing the hose for it. It broke off in the hose so I might be able to fish it out and super glue it back together.

1974 Lady K found and brought home!!

I like the tub and agitator in your LK. The tub looks slightly bigger than the one in my 72 LK. I wonder how much bigger it is. Congrats on your find. I need to CLR the crap out of my tub.

My First Collectible Washer - Lady Kenmore

Might anyone know how big the tubs are on these two washers I got? I am fascinated with the 74 LK model recently found. The tub doesn't look too much bigger especially when comparing its agitator to the one in mine. beevac: I e-mailed you about the literature. I will re-send it.

Does anyone know an easy way to remove the iron deposits from the wash tub? I assume it is suppose to be white right?

Thanks for the congrats all! KenmoreGuy64: Thanks for the info. This came from a suburb outside of St. Louis. I have been trying to dig for that thread regarding getting the iron coating off the porcelain but I cannot find it. DADoES: Thanks for the diagram and link. beevac: Sent you an e-mail.

My First Collectible Washer - Lady Kenmore

I am not sure where the lint filter is. I cannot find an obvious place where it would be. The Maytag is an A510. I think I have a button somewhere for it but thank you for the offer.

Mine might need a water pump. The guy I bought it from said it didn't drain well. Maybe I will get lucky and it will turn out to be a clogged hose.

No I forgot to take one. I will take one though after I get the machine all cleaned up. I am looking forward to the light that it has as well for the console. Hopefully there is another one for the tub.
