My First Collectible Washer - Lady Kenmore

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

Man I keep seeing those Lady Kenmores more and more now! My grandma's was a 71 model but basically the same. Her's was white. I want to find one so bad! Congrats on finding that one!

Might anyone know how big the tubs are on these two washers I got?

I am fascinated with the 74 LK model recently found. The tub doesn't look too much bigger especially when comparing its agitator to the one in mine.

beevac: I e-mailed you about the literature. I will re-send it.

Your Lady K is a std capacity

Hi Toploader, I believe that all Lady Ks were std capacity machines until 1974, when they went to the large capacty tub and the Penta-Swirl agitator (like mine). Gordon (KenmorGuy64) told me this one had the large cap tub when I first told him I was going to go look at it (but I forgot). Then someone mentioned it in my thread then I realized "Oh, that's right, it DOES have the larger tub"!

I am liking my machine more and more as time goes by!

OH SHIT! I broke this connector off accidentally while removing the hose for it. It broke off in the hose so I might be able to fish it out and super glue it back together.

JB Weld can do the trick on that broken connector. It comes in a couple tubes, where one part is white and the other is black. Mix it up, and it turns a grey color. When you slather that stuff on the two pieces, ain't nothin' gonna pry 'em off!
