    Baumatic in Administration

Yeah, and what wasn't made by Turkish manufacturers or the French was made by Antonio Merloni. I'm pretty sure that they didn't manufacture anything and only had the sale and atersale infrastructure and little else, no real manufacturing plants anywhere.

    Yet Another Bob-Load Attempt!

Nice results for the machine! :) But I'd say it can fit way less than a standard dishwasher. Just think that a normal 12 place setting machine is tested with 140 items in it.

    Equator!

My oh my! The drum really looks home-made! But sure it's an improvement over the other combos sold in the US!

Americans Purchasing European Detergents - Henkel Has Sniffed Us Out

2)Camon! No laundry will ever have scent strong enough to co I can't believe you don't know the smell of Italian Dash... when my grandma uses it it covers any other smell. I second that, if I buy a 100€ perfume I don't want it to be ruined by laundry fragrance.

    motor with burnt start windings

f12 what type of gas can I put in there? First you should make sure that the lubrificant oils in the compressors can be used with the new gas and second they should have similar working pressures and temperatures. To retrofit with R134a you have to purge the compressor and system of the old...

    whats the next best thing

Well, first thing to consider is that one should consider Miele to be the best... I'd vouch for Asko and Gorenje or the proper SMEG made washing machines but if I were in the UK it would be ISE appliances, rebadged, stronger ASKO! With full 10 years warranty!

Ahh, The Joys Of *Vented* Dryers

What amazes me the most is that the same people that pays millions to get a flat in NY, a terrible one apparently, won't update the services in the building! Gosh, you couldn't even rent or live in one it it were over here until all the utilities received update and that includes plumbing! And...

are you sure you are using the 100% of the capacity of your washer?

European dryers You can buy a 9 kg washer and a matching 9 kg dryer. Gosh, even washer-dyers nowdays can cope with 6 kg of drying!

are you sure you are using the 100% of the capacity of your washer?

almost all new machines have a load sense algorithm so they European machines have that feature since they started being manufactured, either automatic (since the 80s) o manual selecting reduced load. But it was also stated that while doing two half loads compared to a full load one wastes...

are you sure you are using the 100% of the capacity of your washer?

Sure my machines run full all the time... Anything less than a full load is a waste of detergent and utilities. Since the machines are designed to wash a full load (meaning the full available space of the drum) it's a good thing to use all that can be filled. See the attached discussion I...

New energy star washers - good or bad?

Not at all, EU norms are valid only in Europe and Energy Star is just a little more than nothing and that "more" is just crazy. Luckly over here is just a pair of words and nothing else. If you want something "the old way" you've got to find an old machine or make yourself a plc controlled one...

1-hr wash cycle on Maytag d/w

There's very little water in a dishwasher so heating it is quick even on 110V. Even starting from cold to 60°C (140°F) would take less than 15 minutes on a 1100W heater, using only 10A on 110V, for 5 litres of water. The thermal mass of dishes and dishwasher insides is much less than that of water.

New energy star washers - good or bad?

This is because all machines have to wash at A rating Exactly, they have such a strict rating that all the machines must fall in the "A" or better range. So it's not necessary anymore to put it in the label

New energy star washers - good or bad?

The real difference is that in Europe if I want a TRUE boiling wash I simply select it and voilà water starts steaming under the self-heating-magic-power of the machine. Plus also PERFORMANCE IS RATED, not only energy use! If I want to be an ECO guy I use the normative cycles that will...

    Samsumg FL Power Foam

That's just a useless marketing gimmick. Be glad that the machine doesn't overflow with suds! Plus many suds also equal a difficult rinsing (a thing that Samsung, along the other asian manufacturers, never mastered!)

    Question about LG Machines...

I guess it's not LG but all the modern American machines, there have been load after load of rants over here about "hot" being redefined at 100°F or so in the US. So according to that "warm" could be just a tad hotter than tap-cold! Sad, isn't it?
