Something Unusual About the Cycle on this 1963 Westinghouse Dishwasher

Dishwasher wall Tom, I remember seeing a pic of yours after one of the gatherings. They made that model in 1965-66 as a basic unit. I bet they made a bunch as I have an ad for them stating "1968 close-out sale". When they introduced the drop door models in 1963, they still offered a pull-out...

Something Unusual About the Cycle on this 1963 Westinghouse Dishwasher

This dishwasher Tom I think this dishwasher is a little unusual. When Westinghouse had the little screen cup detergent dispenser, they had a wash and 2 rinses. When they advanced to the tilt out dispenser, they offered a double wash. Wash, rinse, wash and 2 rinses. I did find that some of the...

Why did the Frigidaire Flair and Hotpoint Hallmark ranges….

Flair weight A 40" Flair with base cabinet is 377 lbs. And top-heavy.

Why did the Frigidaire Flair and Hotpoint Hallmark ranges….

Hi-low ovens Plus the introduction of the 30” hi-low ovens, like the GE Americana and Frigidaire Twin 30 allowed for a hi oven AND a self-clean lower oven.

Why did the Frigidaire Flair and Hotpoint Hallmark ranges….

And the big thing No self-clean on a Flair type oven. You could buy a 30” range with a full size self- clean oven for less than the cost of a Flair.
