    Cleaning a washing machine

Hoover Today Hoover is a brand owned by Candy Group. Toploaders are made in Spain by Otsein. Don't trust the badge ... they just share it with those old, glorious welsh-made Hoover washers ;) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Candy_(company)

    Better Than Bleach?....

@ askomiele about "bleekwater - javel 8° " I guess the actual answer is behind the "8°" : read both labels, then compare the concentration of sodium hypocloride maybe this can be helpful : related thread on chemieforum.nl

    Better Than Bleach?....

@ amyswasher Be aware that pool chemicals may be very dangerous and must be used/handled with extreme skill. Some of them -that usually work togheter in the pool at very low concentration- are extremly dangerous if mixed together when not very diluted So if you are not so much in chemistry...

    Better Than Bleach?....

chlorine powder for the pool Hi Martin, be aware that half a cup is way too much even in a US style toploader and wears quickly fabrics, expecially natural ones. Chlorine will be so much concentrated to reach the breakpoint as if it were a shock treatment in the pool ... and everyone dealing...

@ Bob "...But I do wonder if these will be for overseas markets only or for U.S. market too" These machines are made strictly for northamerican markets : cycles such as WhitestWhites or Heavy Duty don't exist in the european programming mindset. European cycles are named by fabric type...

What is the WORSE washer you have ever owned

Candy C 134 My parents bought this POS in 1973. "Washer" was a too big word for this poor thing. The drum had NO baffles, so partial or delicate loads just floated on the water ... You can watch it here on Candy Time Machine : it is the machine with the detergent drawer in year 1973, pic # 9

Water Level Launderess, I own both a W 780 that works the same as your W 1070 and a W 844 that's in the "cheaper" serie of AskoMiele W 900. So I know what I'm about to write :). What you wrote is true about 25+ y.o. mieles, NOT about this round 10 y.o. machine !! :) As everyone can see it is...

What Temperature Is Your Hot Water Heater Set ?

Lost in translation .... the actual german word meaning "hot fill" is "WARMwasserANSCHLUSS" and I guess it's self-explanatory even for those who don't understand german. They mean "warm" the range 105°F < X < 140°F They refer to "really hot" as "heiss" and "heisswasseranschluss" in hospital...
