Miele H 7364 BP - My new oven, and the most you could even need!

The oven looks very nice and sounds very sophisticated but how is anyone supposed to know how to use the oven? what do the symbols mean? If they must use symbolbs why can't they also use words like Bake, Broil, Clean, Timer, etc. alongside the symbols? The manufacturers make these appliances...

    1971 Maytag Porta-Washer M0D. A50

I've also wanted an A50 but I've never seen any here in Ontario. When I was in my teens, an elderly woman friend of my family that lived year round across the lake from our cottage, had an A50 and ever since then I have wanted one. The neighbours next to her had a Hoover twintub and my...

    Firefox

All browsers need to be closed on a regular basis (and the PC, laptop, etc. rebooted) in order to clean out the cache, download history, etc. I use Chrome and I have to do this every couple of days otherwise I notice that chrome sort of becomes stuck every now and then....and I just have to...

    Questions about bath towels....

Eddie, Unfortunately my linen closet is shallow so I can only fit one column of bath towels on the right side and then the face cloths in a column on the back left and the hand towels on the front left. If I triple folded I would probably only be able to store half as many towels. Gary

    Questions about bath towels....

Eddie, Your method of storing towels is the same as what I do...fresh laundered on the bottom and next to be used on top with the bath and hand towels side by side. I guess I have too many towels because when I tried folding them in thirds I couldn't fit them all on the shelf whereas folding...

    Questions about bath towels....

Folding towels in thirds makes them take up less room width wise but more room height wise so you can't get as many towels on a shelf. Gary

    First Pie of 2021

Eddie, The label on the Crisco oil states derived from Soybeans. I alternate between buying Crisco and Mazola oils....maybe I'll try Mazola next time. I only have glass pie plates and the ceramic deep dish pan I used for this pie. When I made the filling, it appeared that there was too much...

    First Pie of 2021

Eddie, I made the apple pie using your recipe. It turned out pretty good. I am terrible at making pie crust but this one worked pretty good. I made the filling yesterday, made the dough and baked the pie today. I might try a different type of oil next time. I used Crisco and found the oil...

    Bath Soaps & Cleaning

About 3 years ago, I was told about this trick for keeping the shower/bathtub clean and it works great for me. Fill a large spray bottle with water to within an inch or so of the top. Then add a few long squirts of your favourite dishwashing detergent (I use Dawn). Attach the sprayer but...

    I found a NIB Roll A Matic

I remember seeing That Remington with the case in my Dad's closet when I was a kid. I don't recall him ever using it however. He was a diehard Philishave user which is also what I have used from the time I first started shaving and received one for Christmas. Gary
