BTW Do you have an above ground pump, or submersible? There's no capacitor on a well tank or switch. Submersible are generally not replaced, you get a new pump.

You have to empty the tank to check the air pressure. Should be 28psi in your case. That is a big tank, and has a draw down of 13.9 at the 30/50 setting. Are you saying it was 6.1 lbs. low on tank air pressure? Set it to 28, and recheck in a week or two. If you see any water come out when you...

Reply #159 Have you checked the bladder on your storage tank? Ours is a 22 gallon tank, which is misleading, it releases 8.25 gallons before triggering the pump. Two toilet flushes should NOT require the pump to run. That's just over 3 gallons. Bladder in our original tank (Well-X-Trol) lasted...

    The Cool Wash Temperature

chetlaham Read the text for the chart you posted. NEAR SURFACE WATER. We don't draw water from the surface, or near surface. And a rando pic from Reddit. Probably has his pipes on an outside wall... Try harder.

    The Cool Wash Temperature

Reply #17 Right, where there is permafrost (AK) the temp will be lower. Wherever it freezes, we do not run pipes above the ground. Even most hot states don't do that. It's not up to code. 6-8ft under ground, is 55 tp 60 degrees across most the United States. Poorly designed systems are an anomaly.

    The Cool Wash Temperature

reply #15 Why do you continue with the nonsense? Tap water IS NOT 40 degrees. Read a science book.

    The Cool Wash Temperature

tap cold water can be near 32*F Where do you get this nonsense? I live in Northern Michigan. In the winter, the tap water is 55 degrees. In the summer, the tap water is 55 degrees. Read a science book. We don't draw water off the surface...

chetlaham I'm lying because I claim to not have all these problems GE has? That my clothes come clean with all the washers I use each year? The language I would like to use to respond that is probably not allowed here. I did buy a Speed Queen for reliability, but I don't tell everyone they...

I don't have any water bills to pay so I'm not worri You don't own any appliances either, yet constantly complain about reliability. I can't figure out why you have such a hard time getting your clothes clean. I have a Speed Queen, but I've used many others when visiting relatives, or going to...

    EPA Reversals

CFL bulbs? GE, why would you use CFL bulbs? LED's just work, and use less than half the energy of CFL's. I haven't seen anyone buy CFL's in years.

    EPA Reversals

Why would anyone want incandescent bulbs brought back? LED's are the easiest way to save energy, and they have come a long way. I haven't replaced all of mine yet, because I have some lights that aren't used more than 10 minutes a year, or at all. But any bulb that's on every day has been...

    New cabinet and oven

Was the cabinet made by Seimens as well? Or did you have it custom made? I like the idea of all that storage below the oven.

    Throwing away food

Salad Dressing I'm surprised to read salad dressing ever goes bad, especially rancid. I just opened a bottle of Red Wine Vinaigrette that expired September 2023. We are very good about rotating food, hardly ever have anything expire, some how we missed this one. It tastes fine, no different...

    Can't beat Mini-splits for heating/cooling

Natural Gas Here in Northern Michigan, NG is so cheap a heat pump is more expensive to run. Of course this will vary by area. And then there are all the flaws Combo52 mentions above with mini splits. If you really want to save money, with AC and Heat, insulate and seal your house. I added R60...
