    A New Vintage Washroom Opens...

Mike, Steve That's fantastic looks like a lot of hard work has gone into getting everything up and running. I wish I'd got somewhere like that to house my increasing collection. The garden looks wonderful too Steve, don't suppose you do contact gardens do you? Mind could do with a spruce up...

    Servis Superheat

Mk3 Al Hopefully when the weather warms up I can get another coat of paint on the casing of that 70 and get it back together. That's a bit closer to period of the kitchen, there were some stickers on the units when I got them with production dates on, September '76 comes to mind. Ian.

    Servis Superheat

Mike A matching Powerglide did pass through my mind, then I looked at the rapidly diminishing space in the dining room! The spinner isn't anything exciting, it's a late Debonair, I think it's the model before the 'Indesitised' one. Perhaps I should be on the lookout for something a little more...

Wilkins Servis MK16 Superheat Wringer Washer.

Mike That's useful to know, I'm guessing my new acquisition must be pre 1959 then. Ian

    Servis Superheat

Just thought that I would post a few pictures of the newest arrival I collected from Lance last week. I last experienced a Superheat when I was about 8 or 9 when my Aunt had one. Having put it through it's paces this morning I must say I'm very impressed, the combination of large wash tub and...

Video tour of 1963 Westinghouse Terrace Top

Kevin Having been watching your Cavalcade of Food episodes for a while now I've been looking forward to an in depth look at your Terrace Top. It's a great looking cooker and I'm looking forward to your next stove swap at the cottage. In the UK through the 1960s and 70s radiant rings were the...

    Parnall EW601H Spinwasher

Darren Thanks for the pics they should come in useful. I've not had much chance to have another look at it today. Al I was surprised to see this one pop up. I've steered clear of the Selectromat at present, apart from prodding the pins that hold the linkage together to make sure they are going...

    Parnall EW601H Spinwasher

I just thought I would share a few pictures of yesterday's new arrival to the fleet. It's had a bit of a clean up this afternoon and seem to be in quite good condition, although not without some problems. The minor issues are a couple of pieces of hose have gone hard and the fill hose has...

More Vintage Finds: Hotpoint 1504 & Hoover Superjet

Well Done Mike & Al That 1504 certainly does look like it hasn't had much use, there doesn't even seem to be any evidence of filter tray rubbing on the text inside the lid. What caused your flood? Was it just a drainage issue or did one of the hoses give way? The Superjet looks fantastic, it...

    What's better - Hotpoint 95 or Hoover Logic 1200?

Rob I'd be going with Hoover too, especially for longevity, thinking about a certain A3060 and an A3350 that are still in everyday use at well over 30 years old. Ian

Cheers Steve, I'll drop you a line Thanks Ian

    Hoovermatic 3314L

Al/Mike That was the first time I'd posed it in the kitchen, I must admit I do like the look of it there. Sadly I can't find room to build it a home in there. It's living in the dining room with the others at the moment, I'll have to get round to moving things around before Christmas as I can't...

    Hoovermatic 3314L

Thanks It looks a lot better now. Should be up and running before long, just need to sort a couple of hoses out. Ian

    Hoovermatic 3314L

Richard Yeah all that stuff was the remains of the belt a lot of dust and some dog hair. It was all collected on the chassis down the spin side. It's smelling a lot better now, mind you it took some getting rid of, there was a mat of dog hair and old soap under the hinge end of the spinner lid...
