I got a Consumer Reports magazine from 1974. I would like to share it with you guys. My old Maytag came out on top. I miss that dishwasher. Hope you enjoy. Some interesting facts, like the Westinghouse that uses 18 gallons of water on the double-wash cycle, and still does a poor cleaning...

I wouldn't know the story behind that machine. I found the pictures on the web. I noticed the commercial one does not have a detergent dispenser.

They probably used the tubs from the commercial Hobart dishwashers at the time. Here's some pics that I found here a while back.

The Top Rack is attached to the bottom rack, contrary to the model in the ad at the top of the thread. The executives were probably well protected in those days. They probably got a nice retirement package. lol.

Those brands weren't that great. Re-badge from the main companies of that time. White-Westinghouse or GE, I think. I was about 10 years old. Those were the days of Harvest Gold and Avocado green. Chrome and wood-grain control panels. I miss those days....

I remember the Bélanger and the Roy brands. Those were the days...
