The norge and the pump and the drain hose

is this around 1968-82 era norge? those pumps were very prone to debris damage-may have to plumb in the later pump(that i think mounts the same, but hose connections are different...)

1959 Frigidaire Frost Free Refrigerator compressor not starting

check NOS parts They could be faulty after a long period of disuse-especially the capacitor, they can absorb moisture and corrode terminals off inside. Could also try to run the compressor by itself with a "cheater cord"

Mom is looking for a grocery-getter type car with city street 4x4 capability, easy to drive, easy to park, easy to get in and out of with upright-ish seating position. These jeeps seem to fit the criteria :) I know these are Fiat, but i like some 1960s-80s Fiats, and AFAIK,no major...

Looking for some info on my Beatty waher

much older than 1960s Do I see head bolts and spark plug of a gasoline engine ? :) If engine/motor is known to be original, that item might be easier to date than washer itself. Could be as old as ~1935 to as new as 1950 by my estimate.

1st workbench radio project of season-1964 Japanese...

Sorry for the tardy response... ...was hoping to give update, but dirtmoving project(to place a shipping container) took precedent :) the radios are fun to collect and use and do take up less space than major aplliances, though some old 1930s-40s console radios and all eras of console HiFis can...

    "overlock" sewing machines

Cool about the homemade scrub tops :) A while back I cranked out a couple S&P chef pants-turned out very nice:properly shaped and properly baggy but clean fitting :) then ran out of material that I liked. the JC penny sewing machine mentioned that is a fave is a 7057:kind of noisy but has a...

    "overlock" sewing machines

WHOOPS-"puffy" might have been a better word for a "baggy" cap, LOL :) I have one electronic machine: a Singer from 1983-forget the model name-but made in USA and probably one of the last sewing machines made here. I have one electronic

    "overlock" sewing machines

Thanks for responses everyone! yeah, don't really see a need to add one of these to my fleet of sewing machines-my 1984 Polish made JC Penny Singer clone gets along just fine for the usually simple projects done at the basement workbench :) Thinking about trying a poofy newsboy cap project soon :)

    "overlock" sewing machines

Bought a box of thread cones at a rummage sale for this type of machine-I use these cones for my "regular" sewing machine :) Wondering what these overlock machines are used for and if anybody here uses one ?

    1964 Turquoise Kenmore 70 Set

super nice set! Looks like the motor has been replaced on the washer-I think original would have been a round GE or a black round Emerson. The square GE motors came out around 1967-68 i think and vary a lot on how well and how long they run :) The 72564 marking on the transmission might be...
