Why are Top Loaders Cheaper than Front Loaders?

Thanx Qualin! I'm happy you're answered, you made my comment fit in with the rest ;-) I'm not up on HP in relation to electric motors... but I guess '1' means higher power compared to 1/3? Yet, I can think of good reasons for putting a powerful motor in a TL too... immagine those users who...

Why are Top Loaders Cheaper than Front Loaders?

Still in time to have my say? Hi qualin... I know you had your question answered, I hope I'm still allowed to put in my 5p worth. Apart from all the other potential reasons already mentioned on this thread, marketing, existence of suspension system, etc, my contribution to this is about the...

    Door Glass Exploding?

The Indesit in question was not considered! Having reported the Indesit washer-dryer developing a problem with the door glass (cracking + little shattering) I'd have expected to see it in the count with all the other manufacturers... they either forgot or considered it as a different sort of...

    Door Glass Exploding?

Further to my parent's Indesit Washer Dryer's door glass cracking badly I did a little research on the web and I found an article on "whitegoodshelp". I thought it was an old article at first but since I subscribed to it I had many recent updates... so the shattering goes on! This seems to be...

Maytag Bravos XL Line Sales Guide

Yeah... they're good looking ;-) I've never liked top-loaders until I saw these Bravos high-efficiency washers. How much water would they use if you had a small load to wash... say a complete tracksuit (top and bottom), a couple of t-shirts and some socks and boxer shorts? Will it be about...

    The Indesit arrived! WG1233TG

Hi Darren I was a little perplex after posting this... I thought... now maybe some1 will have a go at me for saying these things and retaliate by throwing straight back at my face some of the recent faults recently discussed with my favourite manufacturer! But I don't feel like that anymore...

    The Indesit arrived! WG1233TG

Don't want to come across as a party pooper but... I must admit, seing those dials makes me feel a bit melancholic about my very first brand new dishwasher when I moved into my new place back in 2000... however, it was my worst dishwashing nightmare! Dials, buttons and the shape of the control...

Sneak peek at the New Candy tumble dryer range

Neat... but that's my idea LOL Honestly... Candy must have had some spies in my house LOL I used to use my dryer like that mix&dry programme you described cos' I often happened to have different items in my loads. Depending on how big my loads were I'd put them on high heat first for a certain...

Sneak peek at the New Candy tumble dryer range

@ HotpointF & aquarius8000 I just got a little carried away by these new Candy/Hoover products... owing to the fact that I generally like them... but I'm sure you've all gathered that by now ;-) However, my Hotpoint dryer is still fine... only the door catch seems temperamental but is always...

Sneak peek at the New Candy tumble dryer range

1 of them is mine! I'm gonna have 1 of those babes soon... just you wait until my Hotpoint vented dryer snuffs it! PS: I like the control panel on the Candy and the door on the Hoover... is it possible, you reckon, to do mix and match LOL

    Candy and Induction Motors!

I see... As you mentioned Hoover Nextra, I thought you were talking about Hoover... but now I've re-read your post and... yes... I see why you stated 'H'. I also made a little mistake in my previous post by saying 'Whisper Quiet'... I think those terms were used by Hotpoint... I've just looked...

    Candy and Induction Motors!

Definitely 'tricky' Dex, I'm not sure whehter you got confused when you mentioned the letter 'H'... when I bought my Hoover Nextra back in 2004 I could have opted for the wisper quiet version which was indicated by the letter 'Z'. These models not only had an induction motor but also some...

    Hotpoint Washer Dryers

@ gizmo Where was the Candy appliance... in New Zealand or in Australia?? I never knew Candy made it over there! When I hear something nice about a Candy machine I just melt :-P Anyway I'm sure that any washer-dryer would crinkle clothes to an extent, and if you're not used to a washer-dryer...

    Hotpoint Washer Dryers

It must generate some scary creases there!! I'm more inclined to think that a similar behaviour would set stubborn creases in your clothes... come on chestermikeuk... you tried it... you must know... does it really crinkle your clothes to death? How does it compare to other washer-dryers you...

I'm so sorry i just had post this

AquaCycle is on the right track That's right... 10 years ago Hoover had the 'Six' range which was replaced in 2004 by Hoover Nextra (the one I currently have). I don't have any experience with the 'Six' range but I have plenty with Nextra and I can positivily vouch for every cubic millimetre...

    Boilwash

@ zanussi_lover Hi there... just a quick remark: you said that you flat mate does all their washing at 60 degrees... I guess in the same washing machine :-) Bacteria take time and several washes to build up... if you alternate hot washes and cold washes your machine would always be impeccably...

    Boilwash

I can't be persuaded into using cold water again! I might not have as much experience as some of you lot... but I can assure you that I've tried many ways of washing in the last few decades and I've always been actively seeking what could be the best solution for my laundry... being quite...

    Boilwash

Hum... can I call a 70 degree cycle a boilwash? I seldomly do a boilwash... meaning... a 90 degree wash cycle. But I often use 70 degree wash cycles which seem more than adequate for my needs. I usually do that with fast-colour towels and white cotton sheets. Besides, I don't see any...
