That's one thing I don't like about the 74 Kenmore. It needs longer than two rinses for big loads, particularly stiff denim. Just when it's pulling the load down it starts draining.

I had this issue on my Maytag Bravos X that I bought in early 2011. Within a few months I noticed it happening on the power wash cycle. It would fill and then go straight into a drain. That cycle never worked correctly and the machine only lasted 2 years.

Always wondered how this machine performed and now we know ! Great job Robert, that was enjoyable.

No outrageous statement Sean. Everyone has an opinion. I personally think the Roto Swirl is one of the best looking ramp agitators and the Roto Flex can move big loads. There are videos of it out there. Personally though I find the Roto Flex the least appealing of all of the belt drive varieties.

As far as the west is concerned, this is trying to create a solution to a problem that doesn't exist. I mean it is kind of cool, but is there a real need for something like this ?

I don't mind a little noise from the dishwasher. To me it just sounds like it is doing something.

The DD was probably the pinnacle of top load washer technology. They certainly got the weight down at least 50-60 lbs.from the belt drive and just 2 screws and 2 clips to pull off the cabinet to the whole works.

Honestly I don't know what's wrong with the wash action in Maytag automatics. I think they wash great and really move the load around, especially in standard tubs Of course not like the wringers because they had bigger wider tubs for clothes to freely move around.

Reply #28 Tom that's funny you mention about the Kenmore aerated spray because on one of my videos of the Kenmore it is filling for the rinse and the white T-shirt at the back of the tub started billowing up as the spray was hitting it. You could actually see it like a balloon being blown up.

That load was quite full and still turned it over. I mean it isn't to borrow a phrase "dolphins at SeaWorld" turnover but it is still turning over and that whole load circulated well.

I remember seeing some kind of promo video a while back and the guy was talking about changing the culture at whirlpool... Whatever the hell that supposed to mean.

I'd say the Penta Swirl is probably my favorite now of the belt drive agitators along with the Surgilators in all their flavors.

Been wearing jeans since the early 80s and overall prefer them.Lee was my favorite along with wrangler. Last 10 years or so been wearing Levi 501s.
