keep checking craigslist near you that's where mine popped up, a couple months after I started looking. Haven't seen another one on there since and that's been two year.

early 70s 1-18s For some reason these are probably my favorite consoles of the frigidaire models. Love the chrome dials and the layout of the controls. I also think they do an excellent job. I picked a 73 gold crown up a couple years ago and it is going strong on what I'd call light daily...

Congrats! I'm not sure what the bottom part of these agitator does, but my dad had this same washer in the 80s. They should have kept it!

try uship you might be able to find someone to ship it to you for less than you think. what a nice set together those would make. rare to find the mate to something that old so quickly.

1-18s I picked up 1973 1-18 last year and we're using it as one of two daily drivers. So far no problems and as far as I know its running on the original belt, tub seal, etc. Spins quietly and agree the jet spray and jet action are wonderful. Quiet its not though. On normal agitation speed...
