I got the rollermatic that I picked up from Chrisblues in Nashville up and going today! Everything works great, except the pump.... It leaks pretty bad. I was going to hook this guy up and use it, but I guess it will be a yard ornament for now. Just wanted to share with you all.

I would install an electric pump and be done with it. Thats what I have done to any Frigidaire I have ever owned. The pumps on those always leak, sooner than later.

What..

If i were to install an electric pump, what would I wire into for a power source? The motor? That way the pump only comes on when the motor does..

That's a beautiful find!

What's the model? Is it leaking from just the top of the pump around the shaft? I believe I have all these pump parts in my "to sell on ebay" bins, email me if you're interested.

Aside from gravity drain, which has never failed anyone yet, the electric pump isn't a bad idea. Long- term reliability would probably be better. At least it would be easier to fix.

I had no idea that I could just let it gravity drain... It would be cool to keep it original though. I would definitely be interested in those pump parts... Its leaking from the shaft, but also looked like it was seeping on the sides just a bit.
