What would be your dream vintage washer dryer that you would like to own again as daily drivers ?

1966-67 Lady Kenmore Set My dream vintage laundry pair that I would use as daily drivers would be the 1966-67 Lady Kenmore Set that "pdub (Patrick)" has pictured on his post. I would take that set in either Turquoise (like "pdub's") or in Coppertone. I have a soft spot for Kenmores anyway...

    Speed Queen SOLID or PERFORATED?

@ akronman Same here.... When I think of a vintage Speed Queen, then it has to have a "non perforated" solid Stainless Steel tub. Looks like the one in the picture does not quite meet that criteria. If I want a Speed Queen with a perforated tub, then I'll stick with the ones I have...

    Estate Sale Washer Spotting

The "Oddball" Looking #2 Kenmore (Model 800) @ Gordon: Thanks for that thorough assessment of this interesting #2 Kenmore that you gave in Reply # 610312. Even this is one I didn't even know anything about. Given the variations of this model from 1966 on to probably 1972, most of those...

    Canadian Easy by GSW

Interesting Washer!!! Well, here's my take on this incredible washer. (01). The console looks like a 1960's-1970's Norge. (02). The lid looks like a late 1950's-to-early 1960's Kenmore (though, the lid handle itself is plastic as opposed to the steel/metal ones on those early Kenmores)...

    Green with

About the Coldspot Fridge..... Are you sure that THAT'S a 1965 Fridge?? I am asking this question because that fridge looks VERY much like the one I grew up with as well. Only ours was White. We got ours back in 1972 while using a 1970 Hotpoint in our residence at the time, while the shiny...

    Inglis Royal POD

That's because, Whirlpool makes and markets Inglis for Canada. The "Royal" looks like a Whirlpool Imperial set made here in the states. --Charles--

Anyone interested in a H-gold early 70's Lady K set?

Early 1970's Lady Kenmore Set.... Kevin: If I don't say so myself, doesn't that look like your set??? Only yours is avacodo.... :D --Charles--

    Kenmores

Post# 595418, Reply# 2 My Grandma's recent 1990 Kenmore Direct-Drive Set is in this photo. She had the Washer from 1990-07, the Dryer is still going strong at 25 years old (she bought the Dryer back in 1987). --Charles--

    Old Kenmore Washer

Mid 1960's Kenmore Model 800 Washer.... I concur with "applianceguy".... The lid handle gives this one away. They went away from the "straight" chrome handle (1957-65) to the "arched" lid handle (1965-71). This could be a late 1965 machine too. If not, it's definitely a 1966. A beautiful...

    SpeedQueen

I think that looks to be an early-to-mid 80's Speed Queen if I am not mistaking. And it is not a McGraw Edison or an Alliance model either. It looks like one of those Raytheon models. I don't know exactly. But I was hearing on hear that the Raytheon models do not enjoy that good of an...

    What is your favorite washer?

Price Of 1966-67 Lady Kenmore Washer @ "KenmoreBill700" Keep in mind that the price tag that you see in the ad of the 1966-67 Lady Kenmore Washer that I recently uploaded onto this thread is in 1966-67 Dollars. While that may look like an astoundingly low figure today, $239.95 was considered...

    Finding The Ultimate Dream Machine?

As stated earlier yesterday, my favorite machines are: Vintage: (01). 1966-67 Lady Kenmore (Keyboard Machine with Dial Stops in the Timer) (02). 1980-86 Lady Kenmore or Limited Edition (Electronic Controls) (03). 1960's Frigidaire Rollermatic (which was not mentioned, but is a favorite)...

    What is your favorite washer?

My Favorite Washer(s).... (Cont'd).... (03). I would even go on the record and say that I would love the more modern LG Front Loaders now, but I have recently seen on "You Tube" that their current top loader has exploded inside of someone's house while it was SUPPOSEDLY doing a load of...
