having two ovens really makes cooking Holiday meals easy!
I just wished my father would listen to my mom and got something like this to make our job easier. (I was my mother right hand in the kitchen.)

Has anyone used one of these?
While growing up in a Kenmore Avocado Kitchen, our second oven was an electric convention oven and it baked bread and cakes very well.
But the self cleaning walls gave off a weird smell and never effected the tastes of foods.

About the Coldspot Fridge.....
Are you sure that THAT'S a 1965 Fridge??
I am asking this question because that fridge looks VERY much like the one I grew up with as well. Only ours was White.
We got ours back in 1972 while using a 1970 Hotpoint in our residence at the time, while the shiny new 1972 Coldspot sat in the garage until we moved to Columbia, South Carolina two years later, in 1974.
The fridge that you have pictured is even the same size as ours.
It was still running when I left home in 1987, and was running still when my father retired from the Federal Government in 1992, and when he and my mother has relocated once again, from Washington, D. C. to Florence, South Carolina to live out their retirement years. When we moved from Washington, D. C. back in 1974, we relocated back to D. C. three years later in 1977. So fridge was moved only one time, and has lived in two different houses during its entire life.
That's a nice looking fridge though. But I am not sure if Sears had that style of fridge back in 1965.

I think I can agree with you, but from what I remember, the drawers were brown in color with clear tops as below.
We had the same fridge in 1972 when we move into the apartment building which we owned.
BTW, the lower jar bar is missing from the door and possible 1 long shelf is missing too!

The lower oven is bake and broil. I do believe the upper oven may only be bake only. However, I had an aunt that lived in an apartment with a GE Americana range (just the pper oven over the cooktop and it had a brtoiler in it so this ujppper oven could also broil.
Green Appliances
The Sears Ref is much newer than 1965, more like 1772 as others have pointed out. The portable LKM W&D are cool, the Roper built electric Hi-LO and the ref in that kitchen aren't much, better to let them get crushed LOL. The GE double wall oven is an excellent appliance, but unfortunately it is not the TOL model with two SC ovens, the meat thermometer and the rotissory. The Coloric gas wall oven is just a regular bake only oven on top and a broil only compartment below, Good oven and great infrared broiler although it is gas, you need a very good exhaust fan above one of these.

The Coldspot fridge is most likely a 1972 model. We had the exact same avacado Coldspot fridge in my home. My parents bought it during the summer of 1972 at the Greenville, SC Sears store. It had an icemaker and it also had a water tap on the right side of the inside of the fridge part. It had stainless steel looking shelves that always looked shiny and the drawers were light green as these. It was a great fridge and worked well until the compressor went out in 1994. We were told the fridge was shot and it would be foolish to spend that much money on a 20+ y/o fridge. I didn't know any better so I bought my Mama a new white Kenmore fridge with ice maker and glass shelves but it was no where near as nice and fancy as this one. It didn't hold up as well either, but it keep food cold. I would love to have this one (or one like it) to put in my pool "house" I plan to build next year.

Why were the washer and dryer sharing space with the toilet? Possibly that was the only space available for the setup. It's not unheard of for a toilet to be in the laundry; my grandmother's 1973 house had the laundry share space with a half-bath (split level, in the basement). That setup probably dates from about that time.
(If I lived closer to there--and could sneak them into my apartment--I might have snagged that laundry pair for myself. Too bad I can't take them; I hope someone, perhaps from this forum, grabs them.)
Yes, the posters of that ad think the house was built ca. 1969. Do they know that for sure (did they check the land records/assessor's files)? I get the impression that these people are younger than the house and any home that is furnished with avocado appliances HAS to be "from the 1960's" thought that is far from true. (I always think "early 1970's" when I see that GREEN an avocado.)
