    My Kenmore Set

Water level lever This is a great machine! What is unique about it is the fact that the water level lever tends to slide down on it's own when being used. This was a very common problem but Sears never issues any service flashes to cure the problem. The customers just got used to it and reset...

Let us know when you get it fixed! I'm curious to see what it was! I still say the agitate pin (Plunger) is slightly bent and need to be replaced. Just curious! Kenmoreman

Check the pin in the agitate solenoid to see if it is slightly bent. The clik is the sound of it hitting the high spot on the cam bar as the wig wag goes back and forth. You need to replace the pin to correct the problem.

They were easy to work on once you got to know them. They were made by DM (Design Manfacturing) whick also made many other brands at the time. If...

Drive block You can knock the block with a ball pin hammer by tapping it from the bottom. It looks like you can use it again. If you clean off the bad areas on the centerpost and replace the centerpost seal with a new tub kit you will be fine. A bead of silicone on the manifold gasket would be...

    Belt Drive Kenmore - 60's

Clunk noise There are two cam bars that control the agitation and spin functions on this machine. They are connected to the wig-wag. If you look athe the cam bars there is a flat metal piece that holds the cam bars in place. This is attached to the transmission case and it holds down the cam...
