Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

What fun pictures Robert, did that beautiful yellow Sunbeam model 11 help with the clean up? LOL

So is this the Whirlpool your friend put in the basement? It weighs ~230lb, no problem to get in the basement with a dolley. To carry it in by yourself is a different story. It is a very nice and rare machine with 3 speeds. I surly wish I had that model in my collection. What ever you do please don't get rid of it.

What a surprise and treat, this thread

Jaime that baby is the very first automatic I collected, although in a greatly reduced version. It's the one referred to yesterday talking to Jed in his thread. Humming motor, no action, stuck belt, etc. Hope it's nothing serious and resolves itself easily.

Your machine is beautiful and the Roto subbing for the Surgi made me smile;'D

Gordon, welcome and you don't have to worry: no one here would ever get rid of a gem like that.

Robert's mixer made me laugh too, Terri, thinking he makes milkshakes in it while working. Ah, milkshakes from a mixmaster and washer work.

Let us know when you get it fixed! I'm curious to see what it was! I still say the agitate pin (Plunger) is slightly bent and need to be replaced. Just curious! Kenmoreman

Reading this thread and looking at how the wigwag and the transmission work answers a question for me. I've always wondered why, when a BD Whirlpool/Kenmore goes to agitate, there's usually a moment's delay between the motor starting and the beginning of the agitation/recirc. Looking at how the agitate plunger pin and cam mechanism works explains it. Thanks.

Need Part number

Hey can any one give me the Part number to a WHOLE Grease case for a 60's BD WP washer? Also I need the PN for the Agitator drive Part number. Also If some one has a grease case or transmission or Grease Case for sale I would be willing to buy. I also need the drive pulley too.

thanks.

Model Number

What is the model number of the machine?
There are a few different versions of the gear case.

Malcolm
