    Woolite Recall

Launderess-permanent memory file Wow! First few seconds of 1956 Whirlpool Ad and the phrase Kukla, Fran and Ollie comes to the front of my thoughts-even though that show was not a favourite of mine. Amazing compendium of memories in our brains, whether useful or not, sometimes I find quick...

ATTENTION ALL MEMBERS - Please Read This...

Many thanks Robert thank you for all you have done here, from myself having repaired my washer with the aid of the knowledge you and the people here have shared, to the preservation of history, the environmental benefits of repair and reuse, and the shared camaraderie and laughs along the...

Speed Queen TC5 Anniversary and sudsing issue.

a couple suggestions HI William, it looks like you could add on another 2-3 inches on standpipe if you had the pump out hose in a straight vertical run-that might be enough to prevent the problem. The white vertical pipe if a drain as well as the diagonal drain might be also draining...

New Fisher & Paykel Top Loaders

Whoa! rebadged Haier wow that's a big step backwards and a disappointment-is the Haier design that much cheaper to manufacture? I was hoping for a return of the top loaders to Canada and USA for the possible time my GWL 11 has to be replaced, only a pump replacement done by myself easily in...

    New cabinet and oven

Flush mounting Louis that looks great, it must be super insulated to allow that neat flush mounting.

    Switching back to using powder

Persil universal pulver -unscented- @launderess- I didn't know they made an unscented version, I will check that out back home in Canada but also check the version here in Mexico while on holiday just now, I expect it will be scented. What I have found out here is that still this year both...

    Kenmore 90 Series multi issues

possibly intermittent low/high voltage I don't know if at all similar situation but you mentioned 105 volts at some part of spin attempt but a friend's slow agitation no spin when full problem was voltage power line problem. Tree branches rubbing, pulling on overhead power supply line to house...

    Anyone longing for the 1970's?

High quality bathroom tile work, eclectic aspenite panels I do like the blue bathroom, great tile work in the shower and tub alcoves, floors, must be on lath and concrete. Interesting use of the Aspenite-a precursor to OSB, larger wood flakes and a heater skelter look- panels for cabinet...

    Rockford Illinois time capsule home

Anything and everything You wouldn't want for much or anything at all living in that home. I imagine some mighty fine food came out of that kitchen by someone who loved to cook and bake.

    POD July25/24 Ling-Tempo Dishwasher

Video link Dan thanks for the link to video, it certainly seems to move a lot of water, I wouldn't mind to see the water action with a full dish load.

    POD July25/24 Ling-Tempo Dishwasher

Wow, wouldn't this glass door DW be fun wall mounted or anywhere for that matter. Has anyone here ever seen or used one of these? Made in Texas I presume.

Kenwood Designer Sir Kenneth Grange Dies Age 95

Kenwood designs thanks for this update, I have a Kitchenaid Classic but after finding the Kenwood that is what I now always use and now have several models. I like their designs and prefer their styling. I find it interesting that Kitchenaids are gaining popularity in the U.K. but I suppose as...

who else has a new ge range

Chris I hope you are in process to ideally have the stove replaced. I think that misinstalled badly aligned burner is a safety hazard and also indicative of poorly installed or missing oven insulation,I don't think a warranty technician is able to deal with the oven insulation problem nor would...

    Fridge not cooling well

drain hose access Is only from the back of the fridge, behind the removable access panel, the end nozzle was gummed up, I just snipped it off. There were a few YouTube repair videos when I did the repair a few years ago. I assume yours is all defrosted by now.

    Fridge not cooling well

ice along bottom of outside panel @hereitgoes, I would check that the end of your evaporator drain hose at the rear of fridge is not plugged thus causing this ice jam, I suspect that it is. This looks much the same as a relative's did a few years ago, I just cut off the nipple on end of drain...

No more real laundry soap-bought Perwoll but it lists an enzyme

My local soap and cleaning products company, VIP Products- has discontinued their real soap " Laundry Soap Granules" which I mostly used for my wool clothing. Bought a jug of Henkel Perwool which says safe for wool, silk, cashmere, down feathers, cotton and viscose - does not mention linen- and...

question about lakewood p223 second gen boxfan

no penetrating oil I don't think penetrating oil is really for moving rotating parts, rather stuck rusted parts, you should be able to find electric motor oil for small or large motors, maybe someone here can advise if Zoom Spout Turbine Oil would also be ok
