JUST OUT OF THE BOX 2007 Kenmore 800's

2007 Kenmore Direct Drive & Dryer Absolutely beautiful set.  As someone else pointed out, I would have never been able to take these out of their original boxes. Kudos to you for that. Would you mind posting some videos? I would love to see some wash action on the washer.     I wonder if...

    Click noise during fast agitation?

It's possible it was the u clip securing the clutch. I'm not sure but I don't think it was down all the way and locked in right.

    Click noise during fast agitation?

John I have done all that. Seems to be coming from the clutch or transmission and both are fine. Clutch is new. Transmission is rebuilt. So I don’t know

Suspension How come I don’t hear the clicking noise after the first spin and into the rinse agitation then ?

    Click noise during fast agitation?

Oh I know it won’t hurt anything but I am a “why” person and want to know what causes this.

    Click noise during fast agitation?

Anyone got any idea what the clicking noise is? Or maybe I just need to live with it.

    Kenmore 90 Series multi issues

Timer I wish I knew. Maybe you can take a video demonstrating the issue.     The machine has a temperature sensor (NLA) that detects the incoming water temp and tells the machine when to make adjustments. If you want 50/50 hot & cold for a warm rinse you need the earlier generation, like I...

    Kenmore 90 Series multi issues

Warm Rinse I bet that model has ATC temperature, in that case all warm rinses are regulated to 75F. Reason its coming out cold now is because your incoming tap water most likely is at least 70F.     Timer sounds like it's beginning to fail?

1990 Whirlpool Direct Drive 280184 Tub Support Bearing/Seal Replacement

Spin tube John, did you know that Whirlpool no longer makes the spin tube tub support (280184).  I'm curious where you find them now that they are NLA? Ones on eBay are priced way too high and hit or miss.

1987 Kenmore Washer is Leaking Water on the Floor

If you were closer I’d make you an offer on your set. I haven’t had an older style kenmore with the boomerang dispensers yet.

1987 Kenmore Washer is Leaking Water on the Floor

Ryne, I'm not expert, but it may be a bad clutch. When I took apart my 94 & 96 Kenmore, the clutch housing was full of transmission oil and gunk. Replacing the clutch entirely resolved all my issues, of course I also did a neutral drain replacement. I doubt Bill is willing to tinker with the...

1987 Kenmore Washer is Leaking Water on the Floor

I’d love to buy it from you and fix it up. My guess is the tub seal is bad. This is a very involved repair as it requires full disassembly of the machine. Just letting you know, working on these isn’t difficult at all. Up until 3 years ago, I didn’t know his to work on these machines at all. I...

What’s wrong my KitchenAid washer now?

“ If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” Greatest line of advice in the history of the world. Strongly advise you not to replace your pads. In my case two of the old snubber pads cracked when I remove them so I could not put them back in. I took some rubbing alcohol and clean the new pads then filed...

What’s wrong my KitchenAid washer now?

Yeah the noise is coming from the tub support and skate plate. It’s a lot better though. I’m going to do more testing. Here is a new video.

What’s wrong my KitchenAid washer now?

Its bettter Now that I have replaced the skate plate and filed down the snubber pads. After following all the advice (yes the screw driver method) I have discovered the noise is the torque pulling moving the tub. I'm hoping this will wear in. I can post another video soon.

What’s wrong my KitchenAid washer now?

To be honest it sounds like it’s coming from the oscillating tub. I don’t know how to fix that unless I sand down the snubber pads some more.
