    Costco Kirkland powdered detergent

First bucket was "OK". Not really impressed but, for the price, it was somewhat acceptable. About 1 year later, second and last bucket: WTF they did to it? I'm still confused. I don't know if it's dreadful, terrible, awful or a disaster. Used it as a "play" detergent until I could finally...

its official will be going with replacement

"For washing clothes i will continue even with new washer to use warm water hot water for bed sheets" No, you won't. Regaqrdless of what temperature you select you'll have either cold or "wannabe lukewarm" I'm sorry, I'm not here to bully you at all. I'm just sharing my experience with this...

its official will be going with replacement

"to be precise do not really need fancy tech for the washer as long as it cleans and his simple is what is important..." That's exactly the problem... On the very first cycle, you'll discover this darn thing doesn't clean AT ALL! The clothes barely move, to be more accurate.

its official will be going with replacement

OMG... are you really sure you want this washer? It kinda.... SUCKS! Ok, I'm exaggerating and being too generous.... It's the worst washer I've ever owned. DEPRESSIVE wash action. Watching lawn growing is more exciting.... It's slow... horribly slow... the heavy duty looks like delicate...

I went electric -- bought a Chevy Volt

I drive a Prius... I dont love it because it's too short for me (horrible ergonomics made having the Japanese biotype in mind) Other than that, it's an awesome car. I wish Toyota made the CH-R hybrid, I loved that design, but a green bird told me that Toyota is going to discontinue it to...

    Portable dishwasher hose extension

I got rid of mine! I had exactly the same issue, a dishwasher in the middle of my gigantic (not) kitchen. I bought extremely long hoses (30 ft), Y connectors for the hot water supply under the sink, an air gap (mandatory in CA) and installed.it permanently, with the hoses passing behind the...

    Appliance Simplicity

Louis They're exactly the same product, the only difference is the cosmetics The Brazilian market requires a clear door (consumer preference). Overall, they're EXACTLY the same dishwashers.

Oopps... not Bosch, but I knew it was somewhat related... And they actually had BOTH sizes.

    Appliance Simplicity

I dont remember for which country electrolux Brazil makes for Bosch. Also, not exactly sure if its the 8-service model or the 6-service model (the later has only 1 rack). Electrolux also made it for Whirlpool (Consul) in Brazil.

    Appliance Simplicity

@chetlaham Whirlpool doesn't use the VMW platform in Brazil There they still use the plain old WWW. The washers are smaller than the VMW and there até several factory that impact (positively and negatively) any washer in Brazil compared to the USA. 1) DOE X INMETRO: Although both countries...

    Appliance Simplicity

John Would you mind not being so opinionated? Your stereotyped view of Brazil as "underdeveloped" is completely wrong. Guess what: 1) You having an opinion, doesn't mean it's a fact. 2) The world doesn't spin around you. 3) the horizon is not on your belly button 4) This dishwasher, MADE...

    High efficiency Californiaquistan shower heads

I have to agree with Eddie at this. It is a FACT that California has a shortage of the precious liquid. When I created this thread , the idea was exactly point the nonsense. Keeping the restrictors at decent level wouldn't save that much water, but people would leave them alone. Ok, it...

    High efficiency Californiaquistan shower heads

CA is way lower than 2.4 gal with the new standards. If I'm not mistaken, it's 1.2 gal, so half of the rest of the country. 2.4 would be very "decent".

    Niagra Portable Washer

@ozzie Volume restrictions Shipping would skyrocket and the price would be like 2 or 3 times higher than shipping a washer and a spin dryer in two boxes. Also, storage... ti would be too wide, wouldn't fit in many closets and also a hassle to move back and forth from the storage. Then, third...

    High efficiency Californiaquistan shower heads

@ea56 Nope, I'm not complaining because of not having torrents of hot water, my complaint is about they exaggerated so much on the restriction that lots of people will intuitively remove the restrictors and end up wasting too much water. Something changed in the last 3 years. My previous...

    High efficiency Californiaquistan shower heads

By ridiculous I mean, if the shower is placed fully horizontal, the waterflow is so ridiculous that water will spray through the pinholes LESS THAN HALF INCH. A bit less than half of the pinholes won't even work because there's not enough flow. I'm super hairy, rinse off the lather off my body...
