How to Get the Retro Appliance Color you want with a WRAP

There are wraps that are safe for (somewhat) high temperatures. Wrapping is actually a Brazilian thing that only now the US seems to be discovering. It started with cars, because at that time, cars were expensive in Brazil, so people kept them for decades and paint jobs were outrageously...

    Are Tide Laundry Pods Edible?

Guys, come on. AFAIK, AWO is the very best place in the world for people like us (washing machine and applian e enthusiasts) to get together, have fun, exchange information and knowledge. As soon as we ALL follow the rules (which by the way are not rocket science), I don't see a problem with...

    Vintage Bendix Automatic Washer

Thanks John! As I mentioned, I didn't even bother to start (no time) Kevin has a donor Calypso that has a fried pcb, but everything else seems to be OK. I'll probably just replace everything. Btw, the Ultra mate is here... dryer works great, washer is leaking grease. Once you told me SQ...

    Commercial Laundry Abuse

Well, we always have to think of the worst case scenario one could ever imagine. For each model that reach the market, regardless of brand, you can be sure at least 50 prototypes were pushed to the most absurd limits and we have to think the unthinkable scenario. And guess what, sometimes we...

    Vintage Bendix Automatic Washer

I'd absolutely love to have one of those. The thing is, I no longer have the patience to restore machines. Probably my next vintage will have to come fully restored. My SQ ultra mate is waiting for a new transmission for maybe 4 years? 5? Belt drive kenmore is there, waiting... covered in...

Clean Earwax Camera - WiFi & Visible Removal Spoon, USB

I have not one, but two of those. They're impressively good. I got them for free on Amazon Vine.

I have a SQ with plastic agitator... and it's intact.

Some Juicers are great , some not so much

For citrus, forget the juicer (I mean, a centrifugal or masticating juicer) Citrus always end up better in a citrus press. By the way, if you have a kitchenaid mixer, the citrus press attachment is inexpensive and somewhat useful, even with the weird position you use it.

I am contemplating selling my Whirlpool direct drive top load washer and purchasing a front loader

Just a quick FYI, LG also has ADA compliant Braille control panels. You just need to request them, they're free. Some models are smart and they integrate seamlessly with Alexa, so you can use your voice to program the cycles exactly the way you want.

    GE Mobile Maid SM200DS

Hi folks, yesterday I was lucky to find a GE mobile Maid Dishwasher. Now I need some info, please. 1) when was it made? Model is SM200DS and serial number is DD70250 2) I still didn't investigate it too much, but I know the fill valve is defective. Is it timed fill or it somehow senses the...

I am contemplating selling my Whirlpool direct drive top load washer and purchasing a front loader

Lg washers are excellent and reliable. If you can afford and upper level model, go for it, you won't regret.

    La Machine Food Processor *NIB*

Well, truth be said. Food processors are, in fact, extremely useful. Other truth: the S-blade is far the most useful accessory. The others are also somewhat useful, but don't get as much used as the S-blade. I remember those moulinex. In Brazil they were sold as Arno, which is the Brazilian...

The house used for The Brady Bunch external shots is for sale

Don't worry, it's LA. Soon whatever investor will buy it, tear off everything, make an open plan kitchen, put some subway tiles here and there and then resist it for only 15 millions... AND SELL IT FAST.

    Who Is This?

That's Kevin. I absolutely love his videos and his collection, but more than that I love his English. I mean, his pronunciation is so correct and polite that it sounds like music to my ears. Actually, his voice has a je ne sais quoi that reminds me a teacher. IDK what he does for a living but...

    Panda Spin Dryer Feedback

Nope, my boss wants me to look like Jack Nicholson on One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. It was like a huge step on the brakes and start a twin tub project "for yesterday" and a tumble dryer "for yesterday". I don't know why I ended up having a stroke a couple of weeks ago. I absolutely love...

How likely are you to convert your car to Electric?

And also.... The average range on EVs vary from 250 to 350 miles. That can EASILY be charged overnight using a dryer outlet (no need for a dedicated outlet), so the next morning the batteries are full again. Then people will always co.plain, omg, but I can't go from Los Angeles to Miami, it...

How likely are you to convert your car to Electric?

Charging times: Of course it will vary based on the use you have, the distance you drive, etc, HOWEVER, unless you're a delivery driver, charging shouldn't be an issue at all using a regular dryer outlet. Somebody that drives let's say, 80 miles per day, charging would take something around 3...

    Panda Spin Dryer Feedback

@bradfordwhite Did you read the manual? That area is EXACTLY to prevent foreign objects to enter the pump and jam it. Cleaning it is easy, you don't need to take the washer apart. The user manual has detailed step-by-step instructions to remove the drum baffle. (I copied that idea from a...

How likely are you to convert your car to Electric?

100% electric, s'il vous plait First of all, I'm totally in love with Toyota. I never really liked the brand before because all cars were "Japanese looking", including the corolla that was sold in Brazil that had the mirrors horribly placed near the front end of the car instead of the doors...
