Hey guys, I just wanted to show off what I think might be in my small collection of juices, one is a Polish made juicer but it needs a new Juice basket strainer As the old one is starting to succumb to Age, and the screw that holds the blade and is actually now really really loose which is definitely not a good thing while my other juicer is still going strong and the only thing that ever needed was a capacitor replacement The link is a video of my other juicer that has the bad basket, it’s not my juicer but at least it shows what it looks and sounds like

My mm bought a Jack LaLane juicer that I managed to make grape juice out of a bunch of white grapes out of before it became completely inoperable and then got thrown out, my sister took possession of it after mom died and I'm clueless as to what kinds of juices either of them made and how many, how much or how often...

It looked a lot like that one, and had several big parts hard to clean, and even get in my dishwasher, and this was the old one without that thin and narrow top rack my newer one has...

And I have heard of that you sir, at one point I wanted to get one because I saw red running infomercial but now that you mention it I’m actually kinda glad I didn’t, and this is actually probably my third juicer if you exclude the Citrus juicer attachment of my sunbeam , My first one is a national branded one that uses a brush motor, not exactly a fan of it because of how noisy it is
 
I started out with the Juiceman Juicer in 1997 and then got the Jack Lulaine juicer around 2002.

It's a lot of work, and a lot of noise, and often with quite a bit of waste, imo.
Also the expensive mesh screens usually don't last very long.

Some veg like spinach and wheat grass are not easily juiced. A masticating juicer apparently works better for that.

And, like anything else, you can over do it. You can juice too much. There are some people who take in too much carrot/celery/apple juice, for example because it's such an easy combo to process, and they end up getting a harmless orange tint to their skin. (ignore any political references).
And with most vitamins, when the body has it's fill it will simply eliminate any extras when defecating or urinating.

I've found if one simply eats nuts, seeds, broccoli, carrots, spinach, and the like along with fruits frequently, you'll get the nutrition your body needs. Whenever I have my labs done, there is rarely anything missing or out of normal range.

Juicing is really for burners or people who have temporary medical conditions that can be improved with certain juices. People who smoke, drink, do illicit drugs, do roids, consume coffee, soda, and eat some of the worst garbage there is...and then think they can make things all better with their health by taking in a concentrated amount of excess vitamins and minerals.

If you really want to clean out your innards, juice some beets. Its so potent it can stain the juicer red. You can feel the juice as it flows through your body.
 
I agree with you Louis about ingesting the fiber from fruits and vegetables that gets thrown away when produce is juiced and only the juice is ingested. Its very important to get plenty of fiber in your diet and its much more healthy and satiating to eat the whole fruit or vegetable. Fruit juice contains much more concentrated sugar and calories than eating say a whole orange as opposed to drinking a glass of orange juice.

Additionally, it would concern me that unless you are juicing organic produce you may also be ingesting lots of chemicals and pesticides that may be on the skins and are extracted in the juice.

When I was a teenager someone gave my Mom a huge crate of oranges, more that we could have eaten before they spoiled. So I juiced every orange in that crate using Mom’s Dormeyer stand mixer with the juicer attachment. By the time I was about half way thru that crate I began smelling an odor that was reminiscent of ant spray. By the time I finished juicing all those oranges that smell was all over my hands and was making me feel sick. I’m sure that it was from the insecticide that remained on the rinds of all those oranges.

So think about what may be on the skins of fruits and vegetables that are juiced in their entirety and end up in that glass of juice that you toss down your throat. No thanks, I’ll pass on this.

Not trying to clear out my innards

I just thought I might as well save On constantly drinking milk as that’s something I tend to do a lot so I thought I’ll try orange juice just so that way I can make the milk go further, Plus I wanted to do something rather than just going out to the store and buying reconstituted orange juice (orange “fruit drink“) Plus it would mean that I could see how well my juicers perform

I’m not trying to change any of your opinions or exclude any of them, I’m just trying to actually save on not drinking milk every two hours because it’s always cold (yes I do drink water but I prefer the Creaminess of milk
 
yeah, if all you're looking to do is extract fruit juice from citrus, get a standard electric juicer.

There really aren't any parts that will wear out like the mesh screen in a juicer machine, they are quieter, it's very easy to use and clean up.

A Juicer machine will require a complete breakdown (as usual) to clean up after each use and the screen requires cleaning with a scrub brush to get the pulp "gunk" off the screen. All the parts need to be hand cleaned (not supposed to put parts in the dishwasher or use harsh cleaning compounds on them). It's a lot of work.

PLUS, the 'fun' part is carefully cutting off the shiny part off everything that will go through the machine, as you can't use that BUT the white rind just underneath it is actually containing the most vitamins. The inner juice part is actually just sugar water and you really don't want to get addicted to that either but it's better than milk addiction.

Using a standard juicer is EZ. Cut orange in half, hold open side down on the machine, toss the peel, pour the juice, and rinse the few parts. done.

As for the addiction to milk, I was like that years ago. I'm not sure how they mix the milk by you. In the U.S. they add sugar so some people will get addicted to milk because of the sugar content, and when you chill milk it can cool a person down.

I get it. The rare times that I drink milk now I put the container in the freezer for about 10 minutes before consuming so it's almost to the point of forming ice. COLD COLD is good.

Well here’s mine at work:

I have to scrape the pulp off and decide if it’s edible or mostly rinse it off down the drain…

The spout flips up while I squeeze so if the juicer shakes away from the cup or glass the juice won’t spill everywhere and pour it completely out of the hopper after the citrus fruit is completely squeezed…
