    New Whirlpool Full Sized Combo

I have to second that IDK what’s going on at Whirlpool Corporate. The past few years, it really feels like WP had laid off a bunch of people. Don’t put effort in their website or documentation anymore.

the dishwasher detergent thing and the bleach

Running a KUD23, I’ve found a good mix of the Finish (new) Power pods and Finish powder for the prewash, at a certain grocery store. This combo does real well in the 23 to get at coffee stains. Which it struggles with in the fast cycles. Cascade pods foam way too much lately. PG gotta stop...

    Permanent Press Cycles are Overrated

#21 Who has clothes today that are prone to wrinkling? Me! I do! And it’s annoying for someone like me who hates to iron. It’s taken me a long time to figure out settings to reduce wrinkles. And you’ll never guess where the issues are. On my cottons! My cotton work shirts and polos has...

    Electric mowers

On year 3 with a 60v Flexforce Toro recycler. It’s been really great! I like it because it’s not a plastic toy. It’s a real steel Recycler with Personal Pace and standard heavy gauge blade. Funny story. When I was shopping a few years back, there was a Ryobi rep in the aisle. He talked...

1 Year Later with new KitchenAid kitchen

The Whirlpool wash system is exactly the same except with a manual clean filter cup. Slightly different design style wash arms. Middle Upper arm is plastic. Wash patterns all the same. 3rd rack is either a shallow flat rack, or the same flex rack in the Maytag.

New Whirlpool dishwasher side vents. How do they work?

For some models they are used to aid in drying ventilation. But for manufacturing simplicity, I think they just leave them on all stainless panel models. If anything, it helps reduce condensation buildup in the control cavity.

    Maytag designed two drawer dishwasher

My brother and his SO have this unit. They like it and say it performs well. I found out not too long ago it’s a Maytag design. Found their patent docs. But it’s KA branded. Wash arm is certainly old MT language. But I found it interesting the pump/filter is basically a skinny pancake Point...

Where does the rinse aid come out?

Leaking Hi sorry to maybe hijack this. Yes the rinse aid comes out from around the cap. However with the age of the 23 series now, mine has started leaking between cycles. I even bought another rinse aid dispenser a few months ago. That one is now also leaking. Seems like these dispensers...

    Advice with coffee/tea stains

Update and likely solution! Figured I'd give this sunken thread a little update. I've been experimenting with a few things and I think I found an acceptable solution! There's a supermarket in my area called Tony's Fresh Market, and they sell select boxes of Finish Advanced Powder. So I tried...

Were the post-1980 woodgrain Maytags considered somewhat “boring” compared to the center-dials?

I feel like Maytag always had issues with yellowing plastics. Even up to our wavy console series Neptune dryer. Seems like they could never master the UV inhibitors that other brands were getting.

Method Laundry Booster with TAED (US)

I used a few of these Method products, namely the Whites and Extend. I discovered them through the Grove online products store. The Whites has worked great for my napkins, sheets. While the Extend product has been working great for my colors. I was interested in the Colors product because it...

If Able To You Rinse Laundry In Warm Water?

Do none of you have “nice” clothes? To each their own, and I certainly don’t follow all the paranoid care tags emploring only cold washes, low drys. But there’s no way in hell I’m washing my nice knit sweaters, dark colored work shirts and deep dark jeans and pants in hot or warm water...

P&G Raising Prices on Tide & Other Laundry Products

I can tell you with personal experience at work, the supply shortages and shipping issues are indeed very real. I was working on a product and it was miserable. We’d specify a plastic resin. And weeks later it would go NLA. This happened multiple times. Our plastics vendors were bewildered...

P&G Raising Prices on Tide & Other Laundry Products

The plastic in the jugs alone must’ve eaten up all their margin. On top of all the transportation Even just 6 months ago, getting certain plastics was near impossible. Then if you got the plastic, your molding was delayed because factories were jammed with orders and nobody run machines...

Anyone Ever See A Haier W&D Like These ?

Haier is notorious for copying other companies designs. I had a Haier dishwasher in a college apt. It was a horrible Frankenstein of GE and WP copies. Copied WP upper rack, GE lower rack. WP thunderbolt arm with a GE wash tower. The copied wash arm had the jets so aggressively angled (vs the...

    Advice with coffee/tea stains

I’m not buying Boil Out which is selling for $45-90 A Box. Anyone here want to sell me a box for $10 plus shipping ??? What about Bubble Bandit? I remember that being all the rage for a while. Any experience with that in older machines with stains?

    Advice with coffee/tea stains

Update Hi all. First off the KA23 cycle sequence is as follows: Normal Cycle(Heat on) PW-6min(heated) / MW-15-20min, thermal hold 140F / Purge / FR-6min I did some experiments. While manually controlling the timer, I ran it on MW first with detergent. Let it drain. And reset it to MW...
