    HOOVER - - BACK HOME !

Welcome back unclejohn! Glad to hear that you are getting your 0632 back again. Tried to find you a little over a month ago. Take a look at the link below-a member here (Ladyboss1) posted about a Hitachi twin tub that I think might be the one you have been looking for...

no power to drain valve kd-18

Very odd... looking at the schematics again, I just can't see how the problem could have been the program selector switch if the low fills work and the drain doesn't... unless the bad switch was sending power to the fill valve the entire time and only the float switch was shutting the water off...

no power to drain valve kd-18

Here's another test you can try. Grab a stop watch, latch the dishwasher door, and start timing as soon as you hit the Normal Wash button to start the cycle. Open the dishwasher door somewhere between the 1:37 and 2:33 mark (to be safe, right around the 2 minute mark). During this time...

if this was the design for kenmore washer in canada what was the model design for the us?

Have a look at the thread below for your answer. I never liked that Canadian style of control panel... I much prefer the generation before that one with the brown background, from the early to mid 80's. Someday I will have one. http://www.automaticwasher.org/cgi-bin/TD/TD-VIEWTHREAD.cgi?37465

no power to drain valve kd-18

Take a look at the schematics I've linked to on my web site below. I'm no expert by any means, but I'll try to explain how I think things should work. If you trace the pink wire backwards from the drain valve, you'll see where it goes to both the push button assembly, and where it goes into...

no power to drain valve kd-18

I'm looking at the KDS-18 schematic wiring diagram as found in the service manual. According to it, the pink wire from the drain valve is connected to both a terminal on the timer, as well as a terminal on the push button switch unit. The diagram labels both timer and push button terminals...

Unclejohn, are you still active in these forums?

    Hitachi Twin Tub PS 310P

With most twin tubs, after transferring the clothes from the wash tub into the spinner, the operator redirects the drain hose towards the wash tub so that the sudsy water gets pumped back into the wash tub to be reused for the next wash, then after running water over the clothes in the spin tub...

    hoover T5090 twintub

I wish this fix would work for my 0519, but because it uses a different pump, the drain line to the spinner is open all the time, and the wash tub drain line is controlled by a pinch valve. This causes the pump to mix in air from the spin tub when it is empty and you are trying to drain the...

    Something New Comes My Way.....

Darn. :-) I've already got a full size wash arm in my 58... traded it with a KA I bought at a garage sale a while back for $25. Not sure what model it is at the moment. Thanks for the offer though.

    Something New Comes My Way.....

TwinTubber, I would be interested in the door hinges for my KDS-58 if nobody else wants them. Be happy to pay you a little something for them as well.

    Something New Comes My Way.....

I'm a bit surprised by this too, TwinTubber. Very rare that a post goes unanswered here. I would have answered, but I've only had KitchenAid experience with my 18, and a bit with my parent's old Kitchenaid/Whirlpool hybrid. Hopefully someone will answer the questions that you have.

need to get rid of some stuff here

Hi Pete. Curious at to what you have for Kitchenaid dishwashers? Pictures would be great if you can post them. :-) Thanks.

    Chocolate Woo woo

I agree with Yogitunes regarding the agitator not having a skirt. Were there ever any problems with broken or bent vanes on it because of that?

Now I'll have TWO matched sets!

HAHAHA! Good story! I went and found the Craigslist ad and the link to your video. Congrats TwinTubber!

    "Converting" a KDS-18 into a 17

Cool, thanks combo52. So if the pressure increase isn't much, there's no real point in anybody blocking the arm. That's the exactly the answer I was looking for. But what about a real 17? I'm assuming if they use the same motor and pump as the 18, then the water flow and pressure out of the...

    "Converting" a KDS-18 into a 17

Curiosity mostly, but just wondering what kind of pressure increase there would be out of the lower spray arm to give it more cleaning power for baked on casserole dishes, pots and pans, etc., and if that pressure increase is safe for the pump/hoses/rest of the machine.

    "Converting" a KDS-18 into a 17

Here's a question that I've wondered if anybody else has ever wondered about or even tried... what would happen if some kind of stopper of the appropriate size was placed in the upper spray arm hose of a KDS-18 machine, blocking all water to the upper spray arm, effectively converting it into a...

I bought a Filter Flo Set!!

So strange... I must have previewed at least fifty Filter Flo videos, if not more, and I can't find one that makes the same clutch chattering sound that mine does. When it is first started on the first load of the day, you don't hear it, but as the clutch warms up, it gets louder. The sound...
