But getting back to the original subject of GE dishwashers. The human interface design looks like it was simply phoned in. No pride in design. An ugly dishwasher costs the same to make as a decent one if not much more. GE from first to worst.

That blemish on the control panel you see is from the lid resting against it.  There are no lid stops, so the lid is free to keep tilting back until it meets the face of the control panel.  It's something I keep an eye on as i also have the added weight of the detergent dispenser under the lid...
