Ok, a few months ago I had a door lock that was giving me trouble on my Neptune 5500 series washer. I took the cover off to investigate and really couldn't find anything so I just checked the electrical connections and buttoned up the washer. Whatever the problem was it went away. Now fast forward to today and the problem I'm having is the washer is having trouble balancing the load for the final spin and after a few tries it displays a "0". When I cancel the cycle and shut the machine off, you can hear the drum continue to rotate in only one direction, it doesn't pause and reverse tumble.
I have to unplug it to get it to stop. If I plug it back in after a while it comes back on with the pause light flashing and won't start new a cycle or restart where it left off. I use the door lock release cord in the dispenser to open the washer and leave it unplugged for a while with no change upon restarting.
