Amazing! I use Twin Dos detergents, my washer drains into a laundry sink, and I don't smell anything. I also use Persil Megaperls and Persil Pro Clean liquid and don't smell anything left over from these either. I must have a lead nose. I wonder if water composition has anything to do with this.

When my Miele DW was new the pump kept having faults so the technician replaced the pump. I took pics of the pump and inside one of the water outlets that was open and I think you can see the heater coil inside.

I don't have any problem with Miele Twin Dos or Miele detergents. They clean well, rinse ok, I don't need much, nothing smells, so that's all I care about. I do like to use powder detergents and sports wash from time to time, so I alternate Twin Dos with those. So far have not had leaky bottles.
