    HOTPOINT MICROTRONIC £50

Not Me.... I did think my suggestion above was abit forward thinking for on here. It's not worth £50, but not sure i'd scrap it, seems abit harsh for something that rare, regardless of its (poor) condition.

    HOTPOINT MICROTRONIC £50

Clubbing together..... No i don't mean a night out. I was wondering, if quite a few people would like it, whether several of us put a small amount in to buy it & get it collected, then do the same with restoration. Just a thought, because whilst i'd like it (my Gran had the exact 800rpm model...

    New Hotpoint Range

Looks good.... The Aqualtis doesn't look dramatically different, only the lower models stand out as being new, mainly because of the different door. However the dryer looks much better than the current design. Lets hope they've put as much thought into what's underneath this time. Liam

    Teka

Re-babdged Think theyre nearly always re-badged versions of other brands. I had a Teka integrated washer-dryer in an appartment & that was a Candy/Hoover. It was actually very good as a washer, but the dryer was terrible, even by washer-dryer standards. The appartment also had a Teka...

    Im getting Beko WM6123W!

Surf.... I did find that washing a white t-shirt with a dried-on pasta sauce stain on it at 40c with Surf didn't shift it, but once i put it on 90c it'd totally gone. Not sure whether 60c would've done the trick but as i had a rare load of stuff that could be boiled (bedding, light underwear...

    Im getting Beko WM6123W!

Paul.... I never used to pay much attention to detergent, just bought it & used it, but lately i've been quite suprised at how different the level of suds are between brands. Like you say, i find Fairy to be like washing up liquid - foam everywhere no matter how little you use, whereas with...

    new Whirlpool washer dryer UK

It looks nice..... Obviously there's more to it than looks, but i do like Whirlpool's current styling, perhaps with the exception of tinted glass on some of their washers, as i like to see what's going on inside! The newest 6th Sense washers felt decently solid compared to the competition in...

    New Dryer :D

Cheers for the support Tom :) Glad you've found a Zanussi dryer, Trey. I don't like Zanussi stuff for the sake of it - i do think compared to what else is available in their price range, they tend to offer the least compromise. We have a huge amount of Zanussi/Electrolux/Tricity Bendix...

    Im getting Beko WM6123W!

New Machines - Drain Pumps...... I have noticed on newer machines it does take them longer to drain water than older machines. Obviously it doesn't cause massive issues with actual water because machines have much less water to drain than those from the 70s & 80s, but it's clear that the pumps...

    New Dryer :D

But thanks for the detailed reply & suggestions. Honestly the manners of some people on here :-/ Ive got the Electronic Sensor version of a Dual Temperature from around 1998 & it works fine. Liam

    Zanussi washer.

Also Chris.... It's a shame your relatives got rid of the FJS 1225W. What was wrong with it? I'd personally have paid well over £100 to keep that running as it was one of the last decent modern Zanussis made :( Liam

    Zanussi washer.

I agree that the Flexi-Dose is nothing special. I saw the same thing on a Whirlpool 6th Sense last week & it was much better executed than Zanussis. As already mentioned, on the Zanussis you have to pull the whole drawer out whereas on the Whirlpool you could adjust the drawer from powder to...

    New Dryer :D

White Knight or Zanussi...... If you're going with another compact dryer then get another White Knight. The choice for compacts is quite small & although Indesit/Hotpoint do them too they look like they vent from the front into a room, rather than through a hose like the White Knight. If you...

Give it to me straight: how long have I got?

Good news..... Glad the Hotpoint's back in full working order, Alex. Do feel abit sorry for the Proline though - it's not THAT bad, is it?! ;-) Richard - Also glad to hear the Hoover is problem free, long may it continue. You struck gold there! :) Liam

Electrolux Hi Darren Hope your'e settling into the new pad. It's a good feelin' having ur own place after living at home. Very dissapointed in Electrolux for not replying to your email. Not the sortof customer service you expect from a company of their size, though if the quality of the...

    Bosch Clasixx washing machines

£660? :-/ The one pictured is less than £400....

    average running costs.

Washer Dryers Having looked on Currys website the selection of washer dryers seems abit poor. Most of the reasonable priced ones are Hotpoint or Indesit. Whilst it's open for debate as to how good/bad their washers are, i wouldn't hold out much hope for decent length of service from any...

    average running costs.

Is there..... ....an airing cupboard or a cupboard where the water heater lives where you could store the dryer when it's not being used? Then just pull it out to use? It seems a shame to buy another machines when you have several at your disposal. That was abit of luck selling the Essential...

    Bosch Clasixx washing machines

I think..... ...the ones with that door design are probably not alot better built than Beko & Zanussi. However, Bosch do seem to have pretty logical programming, ie traditional Cottons & Synthetics cycles rather than endless gimmicky programs, which is a good point. I personally quite like...

Why Not Take the Indesit...... Im thinking why not take the Indesit to the flat & then if at all possible just have a White Knight compact dryer (like the one your ex has *wink wink*) in a cupboard that you can wheel out to near a window when you need it. It's not ideal but if youre paying all...
