I'm using Skip Active Clean at the moment. In many markets, Skip is Unilever's top detergent. The powder is nothing like our Persil though. It smells more like Persil did in the UK 20 years ago - I love it!

Even down to the packaging and scents of the detergents, Ariel well and truly went for the scentific approach as opposed to the more happy families approach. Like the guy says in the Persil power doc, it's a brand that's always stood for care as well as cleaning.

Hoover.. You also have to bear in mind their are licensing issues. The name "Hoover" is now owned in Europe by Candy, so the brand would need to be bought back which Candy will likely not be willing to do as it's a well known, high profit brand. The Hoover company that we all remember and love...
