    Beko WY124854

I'm under no illusion that my machine will realistically hold anything close to 12kg or normal laundry. I can still do really big loads quickly and efficiently which was the selling point for me. The machine doesn't have a fussy spin either, again, that's a huge plus.

    Beko WY124854

I have had my Beko 12kg machine since the end of January. It's a great machine. The daily quick programme is brilliant for every day loads of lightly soiled stuff. The standard cycles aren't excessively long when you consider the amount of washing you can fit into it. The recirculating jet is...

    Snuggle fab softener and migraines?

Here in the UK we have strict labeling laws that state any chemical classed as a hazard or alleged must be listed. This makes it easy to look up said chemicals and get more information. Highly scented fabric softeners , air fresheners, detergents and cleaning products invariably contain...

    Ecozone Liquid

I either mail order or get Attitude products from my local health food shop. Ocado stock a lot of their products but don't deliver in Edinburgh yet. I've never tried the Ecover delicate wash as the preservative used it it is a formaldehyde releaser...

    Ecozone Liquid

That's one of the few Eco liquids that I haven't tried. I was put off by the low level of surfactants to be honest. I've settled on using Attitude laundry and cleaning products. The clean brilliantly, have no hazzerdous chemicals and smell gorgeous .Attitude also do a range of personal care...

Out with hotpoint s line and back with beko

paulinroyton I really like my new Beko machine. It's super flexible. The daily wash is great for the majority of loads and I never have to worry about things not being rinsed properly, for example , if there is sudslock during the spin after the wash on daily quick the machine will stop, do a...

Out with hotpoint s line and back with beko

Dave886 The model I have doesn't do the fast distribute tumble when rinsing , instead it does normal speed tumbles with the jet on

Out with hotpoint s line and back with beko

Henene4 My Zanussi Lindo took 2.5 hrs on cottons quick 60degs, it was rated at 10kg. Deselecting quick the cycle would take closer to 4 hrs. The Beko's wash times are far more reasonable

Out with hotpoint s line and back with beko

I've just bought the 12kg model. It has a recirculating jet so water levels are a bit lower on this model. It's very quiet, better build quality than the Zanussi Lindo I had previously ( the Lindo has been donated to a charity that helps families in need) I've only really tried the daily quick...

going green - eco cleaning products

I'm please you're getting on well with Violets. I had high hopes as it got great reviews, even in the press. I've not tried the unscented detergents yet that came in the trial pack, I'll maybe try them when the Attitude stash gets low.

going green - eco cleaning products

I've been using Eco cleaning and laundry products for well over a year now and have tried many brands. My favourite products so far are made by Attidue. They do an amazing job, better than their harsh chemical counterparts but sadly my local health food store is discontinuing the range. Ocado...

Out with hotpoint s line and back with beko

Congratulations On the new machine Rob. To be honest I didn't see you getting on with the Hotpoint. I really like these Beko machines and almost bought the 10kg version but went for a Zanussi Lindo at the last minute. It's reassuring to hear that the pumps are quiet on these. The only Beko...

    "Green" Detergents?

Letsgoblues I can only recommend a few green detergents to you as the USA and UK markets differ slightly. I've used ECOS and found that to be very effective but wasn't keen on how laundry felt once it was dry, items felt a bit "waxy". Method detergent is also very good although we only have the...

    "Green" Detergents?

I've been using "green" detergent and cleaning products for just over a year. I made the change initially because my husband seemed to be sensitive to a lot of heavily scented laundry products. I also wanted to be sure the product I was using hadn't been tested on animals. I've tried a lot of...

New hotpoint S line washing machine

I'm glad you are enjoying your new machine Paul. A bit disappointing to see it doesn't have the wave paddles like the Aqualtis but it's still a good looking machine. I did consider a hotpoint briefly when I was looking for a new washer but went for a Zanussi Lindo instead.

New hotpoint S line washing machine

As far as I know none of the Hotpoints have a recirculating jet. The "Direct injection" feature advertised is purely they way Paul describes, similar to Samsung's Eco bubble function.

Ah, I see. Thanks for clearing that up

    Laundry liquids and bleaching agents

It's not strictly true. Oxygen bleach in the form of hydrogen peroxide can be used in a liquid detergent , I'm pretty sure Wisk in the UK had hydrogen peroxide in when it came out and there are some liquids available in the U.S. with "oxy action" .
