Which model ?

What model no is your Beko Rob ?

Would be good to know for when I get asked for advice on buying a new machine.

Sounds like you're having good results from this modern machine.

Mike.

I've just bought the 12kg model. It has a recirculating jet so water levels are a bit lower on this model. It's very quiet, better build quality than the Zanussi Lindo I had previously ( the Lindo has been donated to a charity that helps families in need)

I've only really tried the daily quick cycle so far, which I love. It's so nice not having to wait 2.5 hrs for a "quick" 60 deg wash!!

Are these 2,5h for a full load or time adjusted already?

I mean, 2,5h for 12kg of laundry would be quite ok, so the machine most likely will reduce the time if you wash less (keep in mind, a 6kg load would be a full load to some machines, but is only a half load to yours).

My Zanussi Lindo took 2.5 hrs on cottons quick 60degs, it was rated at 10kg. Deselecting quick the cycle would take closer to 4 hrs. The Beko's wash times are far more reasonable

Hotpoint are always loosing, when it comes to there appliances, it will be interesting to see, how whirlpool reproduces the new model of appliances for hotpoint. Could you imagine if a company like LG Owned hotpoint? Not to say LG make bad appliances, but it would be a interesting concept.

By the way paulc i love your beko, does this model do extra fast tumble rinses

I really like my new Beko machine. It's super flexible. The daily wash is great for the majority of loads and I never have to worry about things not being rinsed properly, for example , if there is sudslock during the spin after the wash on daily quick the machine will stop, do a couple of flush fills then recalculate the time and add an extra rinse! I like that it's not fussy when it comes to spinning uneven loads, if the load is really uneven then the machine, again, adds an extra rinse, even on super quick!

As for the Miele, she became a bit poorly. Durning an unbalanced spin the pump snapped off its housing, the shocks started to go and she was quite "glitchy" , often getting stuck mid way through a cycle. I had seven years out of it and it was worked very hard so I can't complain.

@paulc

Hi Paul

Sorry about the Miele washer.

Beko seems to be making a good range of washing machines. I think if I bought one I wouldn't go for a large capacity machine. I had an LG and I ended up selling the machine. Sometimes it would take over 3 hours to complete a cycle. I know it had turbo wash, but would compromise on the rinse quality.

At the moment in time I am using my American top loader and love it. Takes plenty of washing, cycles time very short, but does use an awful lot of water, thank god we are not on a water meter. I still use my Miele W754S, but she is getting on in years now. If the Miele died then I would consider a Beko.

Paul R..

Is that a US TL machine in corner?

Got some Tide USA detergent going if you want it (it's free)

Got a post on super thread if you're interested.

@liamy1

Hi.

Yes it's a Whirlpool American top loader. It came from a house clearance and was brand new. I love this machine as its so quick at washing. I ended up selling the LG. I still use my Miele W754S, but she getting on in years me.

I used tide one which I bought from Amazon and my other half came out in a rash, thanks for the offer.

I did recall you having an American top loader.

No worries,

Yes I did, it was a good machine, loved how fast it was.

It was a little too harsh on the fleecy things for my liking - washed a light blue and light pink dressing gowns together, it took me ages to pick all the pink fluff off the blue one :)

Just an adjustment to it as we've never really known anything other than FL :)
