    Swan Dryers

They've been on sale for a while now. Kay's were selling them for a while.

    Laundry liquids and bleaching agents

Neither Ariel pods or Persil Duo caps contain bleaching agents, they just have more surfactants and probably more OBA's

    Colour Care Detergents

Optical brighteners change the way we perceive colour/whiteness so while they may not physically fade colour they do make dark and coloured clothes look "dusty" and amplify the appearance of naturally worn parts of a garment

What choice for a UK FL Purchase?

I forgot to mention, I can fit a 10.5 tog king size winter duvet in my machine. I've had lots of experience washing duvets from feather to acrylic to hollow fibre as my sister's boyfriend had a house fire , his oil fired central heating system caught fire, the house was terribly smoked damaged...

What choice for a UK FL Purchase?

Al i have the Zanussi Lindo 300 10kg machine and am really happy with it. Yes, the wash times are long but the "quick" function will cut the cycle in half on some programmes. It copes with any size load from 1 to 10kg on cottons and the fuzzy logic adjusts the water and time on not only cottons...

    My Old Washing Machine WIE107

My sister has an Indesit WIB111 also, hers is 8 years old and has washed for a family if 5 and latterly a family of 8 and is still going strong. The only repair ever needed was a new door as it got broken in a house move.

    Optical Brighteners

It would seem a few people have complained about the new formula Persil non bio causing skin irritation. My mum has stopped using it because she and my dad had a reaction to it. I don't think it's necessarily the OBA's , it seems far more likely it's the cleaning agents or scent chemicals.

    Japanese toploading washer dryer !

I'm sure there was an agitator top loader washer dryer combo that was sold in Brazil .

    persil granule liqui tabs

I tried both the bio and non bio when they came out. I wasn't impressed with the bio ones, persil bio small and mighty performed much better. I'm betting the people who experienced undissolved pod were trying to wash full loads on the 30@30 wash

hoover making 13 kg washing machines

These new drums are 81L , so realistically would hold 8kg

    Low temperature put on test

I got them from a health food store, however that size bottle has been discontinued and has been replaced with a smaller more concentrated liquid. http://www.cleanattitude.com/mobile/Category.aspx?id=1517

    Low temperature put on test

Ecover powder is my least favorite to be honest. I only used it twice and it has now been consigned to my "donation" pile that will go to my sister. I'm waiting on some other brands being delivered so will do a thread about these detergents at a later date so as not to detract from this one.

    Low temperature put on test

Liamy1 i don't use mainstream detergent or softener and haven't for several months. Here are some of my current stash, all ate as good, if not better, than mainstream brands.

    Low temperature put on test

Hoover8pulse Ariel will appear to make your colours brighter as it contains the enzyme cellulase which acts like an optical brightened on colours. It dissolves stray fibres and smooths the remaining ones helping to reduce that "dusty" look that can happen with other powders

Can anyone identify this 'mystery' washer dryer?

I'm afraid I know very little about these machines and have only ever seen one (broken) one in the flesh. I know they have been discussed on here before and am pretty sure pictures have been posted, by Matchbox Paul if I remember correctly

Can anyone identify this 'mystery' washer dryer?

I think they were made in the Candy factory in Bromborough on Merseyside

Can anyone identify this 'mystery' washer dryer?

Brandon, those machines were sold under the Kelvinator name and were made by Candy.
