Low temperature put on test

i don't use mainstream detergent or softener and haven't for several months. Here are some of my current stash, all ate as good, if not better, than mainstream brands.

Ecover & Method aren't actually that bad considering. They work pretty well & smell quite natural which makes a change. I did see Ecover Washing Powder in Poundland a month or so ago, & I loved it then so I quite a few boxes, but I went off of it, didn't know why though.

is my least favorite to be honest. I only used it twice and it has now been consigned to my "donation" pile that will go to my sister. I'm waiting on some other brands being delivered so will do a thread about these detergents at a later date so as not to detract from this one.

Where did you get those 'attitude' detergents from may I ask?

I got them from a health food store, however that size bottle has been discontinued and has been replaced with a smaller more concentrated liquid.

I'm sure you can get a readout of the temp in the tub of your LG - LG washers display water level, drum speed, water temp and more... you just have to know which buttons to hold to get the readout (which I don't).

I don't mind if the temp gets a little warmer than selected. Most of my clothes are pure cotton and can take warmer temps. After all, the dryer heats them to above 60C anyway. Our consumer magazine listed the temps achieved on Cottons 60C with and without Eco. With Eco, the temps were as low as 35C, while some washers (LG?) went almost up to 70C without Eco on the Cottons cycle.
