    Frigidaire Colors

Either that, or it could be that darker blue color that Whirlpool had for a short time. I have a feeling you're right about the rest of them. Actually, I like some of these names better than the later ones!

New Fridge and a 30" Flair

Well their loss (though they're apparently clueless) is definitely your gain, with the range! Very nice. Wonderful Kelvinator, too. I remember seeing that model several times years ago, except without the "paneling" by the handles. Think they're from the mid/late 60s. I LOVE wire shelves in a...

    GE Omni 3 Oven/Microwave

On second look, maybe that is the one I remember. I do remember GE having these in the stores I think in the 80s. My roommate in Minneapolis had a JCPenney-branded larger one like this and still does, he swears by them. When he moved to the townhouse, the last place I lived with him, he...

    Finally, New Central AC

Sounds like a win-win, MRB. My parents have/had three different Carrier central a/cs beginning in the mid 60s, all were wonderful and reliable. I guess they've given up on their signature round condenser unit, however (LOL). I loved as a kid standing over that big fan on top, even if it was...

    Percolator fun!

J2400, that is the trivet! Gary as always on these threads I am so enjoying your collection! Those Osters are such a cool mid century design. Until I saw your collection, I had no idea Corning had so many patterns!

Out with the old, in with the new

Your Majesty, that is indeed a very nice addition to the Palace food preparation area! I like the drawers in the freezer in both the old and new! I wish for you many happy years of reliable service!

CL Ad Could this be a Lady K?

I had a similar 1995 model that had four, rather than 3, ancillary knobs (and that light) with 3 speeds. It was the highest up model with mechanical controls. I don't think by this time, that anything but the all electronic models were dubbed "Lady Kenmore". In fact, it must have been right...

Anyone remember the Jello Whip N Chill?

The Dr. Oetker stuff is good-I get it at Cost Plus (World Market). I find all sorts of interesting things there. There was another brand sold in grocery stores I bought a few times in the last 10 years, but I haven't seen that since I've been in CA and don't remember the name. I remember Whip n...

Yesterday was the worst laundry day I have ever had.

Thanks for your opinion Ralph! I always wonder in situations like that since most f/ls just aren't that old. BTW, in spirit of the thread, I did have one of those closet type laundry areas once and had the (plastic) drain hose pushed up out of the standpipe drain by force of the water...

Yesterday was the worst laundry day I have ever had.

Ralph, what prompted your switch from a Duet to a Frigidaire? The spinning issue from what I have seen is something that definitely needs a good bit more work.

    Gain Detergent with Fabreze Freshness

I do remember that. Back then, you didn't have to request a sample, it was simply delivered to your home. We got a lot of detergent and softener samples that way. My mom did not switch from Tide, but I do primarily use Gain today, usually the original and sometimes Island Breeze or whatever...

The Frigidaire Rapidry 1000 is back again!!!

Very nice machines. I've not seen a 1-18 with that interesting emblem on the front. Must have been a limited edition. ;-) The turquoise is a '65, the other a '68, correct?

    Another Good Estate Sale Saturday!

Very nicely done! That is a very nice GE. I'm guessing the tools on the right go with it? What Hoover does that blue rug nozzle go with? I love tablet detergents too! All kinds of fun vintage packaging all around. Wondrous all the little things that survive.

    The time has come... (roofing)

One would think you would have the world at your feet when it comes to contractors at this particular time. I can only imagine what it must then be like during "usual" times. Best wishes with getting everything back together and putting this difficult situation behind you.

    Bob-Load Certification Request

Thanks RCD the redesign was a good call on their part. Frig, I'm so sorry you had such an awful issue. I"ll have to look at the LG site, I didn't even know there were LG dishwashers! Terry, I think it's a f/l washer in the Frigidaire family.

THIS COULD ONLY HAPPEN TO ME!!!! BUT I'M LAUGHING THIS TIME!!!

Have a safe and uneventful trip home. I'm sorry you're having to deal with all this, but happy you are overall doing so much better! I know you will get it all taken care of in time!

    Bob-Load Certification Request

Toggle, I LOVE the "rotary dial" RCA Whirlpool! I mentioned that in a dw thread in the other section. Nicely done load as well...has Maytag gotten rid of the dreaded center post, or am I missing it in the pic?
