Getting Ebac FL washer - made in the UK

@ austin... yeah, I've seen loads on eBay. if you filter by "condition - used/not working/for parts only" its a shower of Samsungs that cant be more than a couple of years old, along with a load of Hotpoint's & Hoovers! There are a few Miele's on there, but they look 10 years + old - almost to...

Getting Ebac FL washer - made in the UK

@rolls good to hear from you :-) ..it was the top end Samsung one, yes! and that's what made me write to Which, as a little further research tells you the brand is poor for reliability and service, yet they still recommend it. That's why I question the Ebac report!

Getting Ebac FL washer - made in the UK

Which.... I too am suspicious of Which? reviews, especially at the moment with them crowning Samsung “Home Appliance Brand of The Year” - I’ve written to Which?, three times, asking if they consider aftercare part of awarding a manufacturer an award like this. And guess what! They’ve not even...

New Samsung Washer & Dryer Pair

Hello Adam! yeah, I must have done around 12 loads so far in it - from wool, to bedding, to towels. Interestingly, the bedding cycle only heats to 40*c Max and has an 800RPM spin - so I won't be using that one. The cotton eco cycle is 4hrs59mins long - used that overnight last night. I'm not a...

New Samsung Washer & Dryer Pair

Hi Adam, how is the Quick Drive then! I'd say I'm jealous, but for now I'm too entertained with the touch screen on mine to care (and of course, using the Gardening programme! haha) I've used Auto Optimal a few times - I'm not too sure what it does to be honest with you, and also it doesn't...

New Samsung Washer & Dryer Pair

@liamy1 - thanks for pointing out the guarantee details - if you've read my very first post, I did call that out myself, so I am well aware of the difference between 5 and 10 years. Thanks for looking out for me though. @rollsrapide - yep, I called them, and also had the store where I...

New Samsung Washer & Dryer Pair

Hi all! thanks for your comments - although just to point out I didn't buy the machine because it has a gardening cycle! I have no idea what it does, nor will I ever find out. haha. And just so none of you think I'm mad, I would NEVER have paid full price for this machine. EVER. I'd of been...

New Samsung Washer & Dryer Pair

General Thoughts So Far I'm just getting used to them to be honest! But, in terms of the washer, what I like already: - it looks VERY nice - its incredibly quiet - it gives you a report at the end of the cycle about how much water and energy you've just used - 1600 RPM spin is noticeably...

New Samsung Washer & Dryer Pair

Drum and Auto Dispense Unit Here's the 10KG drum - with a nice blue LED light, and a 1600 RPM spin speed You can also see the section for the detergent tanks - it holds about 2ltrs of detergent, and 1ltr of fabric softener. The screen tells you when its dispensing detergent - I must admit...

New Samsung Washer & Dryer Pair

Sensing Every cycle starts with the machine sensing the load, and deciding how much water, detergent to use, as well as time taken to complete the cycle. Here is the sensing screen

New Samsung Washer & Dryer Pair

Controls the machine is controlled by a tablet type device - all the settings are on it. So far, I've used Auto Optimal, Cotton, Synthetic, Bedding and Wool.

New Samsung Washer & Dryer Pair

Hi everyone, I'm having some work done in the laundry area of the house, and I thought I'd seek to replace the two Siemens Appliances I had with something new, to look new and smart when the building work is complete (won't be until the end of May but couldn't wait that long!) So, last weekend...

Kitchen Refresh & New TOL Bosch Semi Integrated DW, and other updates!

Other Updates For those interested, I've still got the Siemens Set & the American Whirlpool Top Loader. All still running absolutely fine - tumble drier is now starting to rumble when starts up so I guess its bearings are on the way out. Thats OK though, I will replace with a heat pump version...

Dishwasher Replacement Now, what you’re all probably more interested in is the new dishwasher! I wanted a semi integrated one so I can see what stage the cycle is at. This machine was not cheap in any shape or form, admittedly not quite Miele £1000+ but there or there about. its been in...

Kitchen Refresh & New TOL Bosch Semi Integrated DW, and other updates!

Hi all, long time since I wrote, I trust everyone is doing well. Thought I'd share a few pictures of a new kitchen I've had put in, along with the replacement Bosch TOL Dishwasher I've had installed. In terms of the kitchen, I opted (and was advised to do so) to keep the worktops I already...
