I searching this sight and I can't believe they have a name for this sound.... LOL

So... where does it come from and why do some have this sound and other don't...... When I was around 4 or maybe 5 years old we had either a Kenmore or a Whirlpool that made this sound when it ran. The machine was down in the dark basement, this sound was loud so to speak...use to scare the day...

I was checking out this Youtube Video on a 1966 WP and Notice while it was running it was making a Strang distinct wine sound.... Even when it is washing the Sound seems to oscilate with the agitation... what is this? I heard this before when I was really young and never could figure where this...

Hey I have a question, Do the different Tub and Agitator Colors have any meaning? Why were some Tubs white with black agitators. Then some Machines had black tubs with White agitators. Do these different color combonations mean anything? Now I see this one with a white agitator with a black...

Man so Close !!! If they only had the Lint filter!!! I would give what you wanted no Question ask... and pay 300 to have it delivered down here.. I can't figure why did they make some of these with out the lint filter?? Man it just seem like I keep striking out on this... :(

Hey if anyone knows of an mid 60's to mid 70's WP 2 speed with the Lint filter I would be greatly appreciated... Been looking but no luck. thanks..

Kinda cool really... a funny thing. I have seen alot old Maytags like this for sale. But I would just rather have a vintage WP... they seem the toughest to find really.
